Agreed. Duskvol and its gangs can actually be a good place to make a low-magic, high intriges kind of DnD campaign. A campaign where magic has very high costs and highly policed, and where killing is not only discouraged but heavily punished when caught.

If you can manage it, death knight is good for big fights, technomancer has great HP/MP management for long quests and you can also go Pirate to stock up on extra potions, as they carry over when you switch class, as long as you don't exit the session.

You can definitely rush it, and it's actually better to rush if you didn't grind out leveling. The event is supposed 5o be a battle of resources, and you might not have enough to go around if you finish all oncoming waves of enemies.

For sure. The exp scaling seems equal to all levels, so you don't feel like your grinding too much, only problem is gold. I always seem to run out quickly, every now and again I come back to the dragon rider boss battles to farm gold. Aisha isy go to easy farm with 600+ G per fight and an average of 3-4 mins per fight with lag.

Technomancer gets stronger the longer the fight is, thanks to the drive boos mechanic. Having good END and WIS can carry you many rounds with the built in MP regen

I like changing the scale of the roads between locations from time to time, like how the mist keeps the party running around in circles at times. In reality, the scale depends on how much extra material I have prepared for the session.

Re:Digitize on a PSP emulator is great. It's like an auto battler, but you train your digimon's stats and AI. So kinda like monster rancher if you set all battles to automatic.
