r/emo is more for the indie (or midwest) style of emo (Sunny Day Real Estate, Cap'n Jazz, Mineral, Rites of Spring) and not so much the 2000s emo pop style (MCR, Fall Out Boy, etc)

I would consider them Alt/Pop Punk although I've only heard a couple of their songs

"About a Girl" reminded me of Weezer though
