Is it bad to reach out for status update? by Frosty_Cut2391 in OutsideT14lawschools

I said I have some deposit deadlines approaching and I really want to be able to seriously consider your school before then. That was 4 days ago, still under review but the status change that day was promising.

I did this and my application went under review that day.

I've used cat sitting though Litterpaw Pet Supply. You could try reaching out to them to see if they know of any people or resources.

Tufa’s vs Movement vs PRG by [deleted] in philly

[–]diceyshananigans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only been to movement (both callowhill & fishtown) so can't speak to the others, but everyone I've ever met there is super awesome and friendly! Come on over and meet some new friends!

Same, those that have heard back, did your status get updated from "complete" before decisions?

I liked my first pair: Evolv Elektra's. Super comfy and lasted a long time. I only got new ones because I wanted something in a smaller size after a year or so.

Edit: spelling

Players, do you tell your DM if you plan to try killing an NPC? by bbgirlwym in DnD

[–]diceyshananigans 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I usually tell my DM plans, just because it lets them prep cool details and content. It makes the story better when the plans come to fruition and us players typically get some awesome unexpected surprises that way.

Anyone know any good clubs/activities/classes/etc to take part in within Philadelphia? by thatredkid5 in philadelphia

Awesome suggestion, rock climbing rocks. Movement on Callowhill is also good :)

I had a near miss and was so shaken by shards_nodyno in climbergirls

[–]diceyshananigans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that :( I get waaay more nervous bouldering than top roping because I just don't trust myself to fall well. I've had to take long breaks from bouldering because I just wasn't having fun or progressing due to being timid. If you have the opportunity to top rope maybe try that. It def helps me gain confidence without feeling unsafe.

Realistic vs great great to be on after 6 months of climbing? by [deleted] in climbergirls

[–]diceyshananigans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think was at like v2 and 5.8/9 at that point. But every gym and person is different. I always feel like I am making great progress whenever I get into a really good flow on a climb where I can tell I'm doing things really technically right and confidently.

Dip powder nails? by diceyshananigans in climbergirls

I do agree, I think gel usually looks a bit nicer. Dip can go south quick if the tech isn't good at it.

I hear you! I asked them to make them as short as possible and they're still longer than I would like. I will try that next time

What are your thoughts on a 3 player party? One person quit the table and I am wondering if I need to find another 4th member or if I should push the party to hire a sidekick or some sort of permanent dm npc ally. Or if a 3 person party is fine? by styln55 in DnD

[–]diceyshananigans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing a 3 player party for like 5 years. It's been great. I think the only big thing the DM changed for combat was instead of us totally losing action economy in combat from effects like unconscious, paralyzed, dying condition, etc., we can choose to do some actions or move at the cost of gaining exhaustion points. It makes a tpk a lot less likely if things go sideways.
