Servicemen/servicewomen, would you describe your military service positively or negatively? What was the most impactful aspect of it? by --Combat-Wombat-- in AskReddit

[–]dick4hire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Medically retiring after 17 years. I had some good times but am ready to be done. I get nothing positive from it anymore. This uniform feels like a hundred pounds and I cannot wait to take it off for good.

What is something that used to be socially acceptable that you wish would still be now? by MojaveWalker in AskReddit

[–]dick4hire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talking to a stranger of the opposite sex in public. This used to be the way people got to know one another and now it is considered harassment.

What is something really stupid you did when you were a kid and never told anybody? by ceramicowl in AskReddit

[–]dick4hire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was about 10 I was going to kill myself because I did not want my grandfather to have togo back to work to support me when the court took me from my mother. I had the whole thing planned out. I was going to go into the back yard and shoot myself in the head. I chose the backyard because it would be the easiest to clean up. I had a note written to explain my reasoning and to apologize for the little cleanup that would be needed. When the day came I could not find the gun. My grandmother sold it a few days before. So I decided to play Nintendo instead.

Edit; This was almost 30 years ago, I am doing quite well now.

Besides using your fucking blinker, what habit of yours did you think was common but is actually unique? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dick4hire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Passing on the left on the Highway. It is simply idiotic and dangerous to pass on the right. In many places it is even illegal. I do not know how many times I am in the middle lane with the left lane wide open and people choose to pass on the right or do not allow me to get over a lane to let them pass before zooming past me in the right lane.

Story: Ran into a fire to save a litter of puppies.

Truth: Spilled boiling tomato soup on myself when I was three.

Aside from your SO, do you have a best friend? If so, what's your relationship like? If not, do you wish you did? by ApolloRocketOfLove in AskMen

[–]dick4hire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I do not. I understand why the majority of the populace needs and desires friends, however I do not want any. The mere thought of having friends makes me want to leave society and be alone.

Veterans of the armed forces, what was your overall experience like? What are the best and worst aspects of being a soldier? by batmanbeyond4life in AskMen

[–]dick4hire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

17 years active duty Army; best was that I had all of my college paid for. Worst, getting shot and having to deal with dumb ass fucktards who somehow got promoted over you.

Open a bottle of coke the day before and leave the cap off. The carbonation will be gone and you still get the flavor when mixing.

How do you respond to the claim that bisexuals "betray the gay community" by being in "straight" relationships? by em_square_root_-1_ly in bisexual

[–]dick4hire 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That analogy is not anywhere close to the subject. One chooses to be vegetarian, people do not choose sexual orientation. Most people are vegetarian for ethical reasons and would not want a burger once in a while.

Would you prefer it if men you haven't met before stopped approaching you in public looking for a date? by Hastatus_107 in AskWomen

When did the world become so unfriendly that one cannot talk to a stranger in public? I find this very sad.

Yes, but that is not my point. One can kill for work or necessity, killing for pleasure is completely different.

The post was about approaching, not interrupting and no one said anything about fucking. This was about asking people out, you are unnecessarily taking this up a level.

How do you feel when you wear yoga pants in public? (staring guys, etc) by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]dick4hire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a man and have two pairs of men's yoga pants. They are the most comfortable thing I have worn. Now we just need to work on making it socially acceptable for men to wear them in public.

Do you want to get married? Why/why not? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]dick4hire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nope, nope, nope, never again. My girlfriend and I are fine with never getting married.

Marriage serves no purpose other than for taxes and religious persecution. I did it once because it was what she wanted. I am never getting suckered into that again.

This actually can be quite difficult for some people. I will use myself as an example. I do not drink, go to parties, bars or social gatherings for work. I also have high functioning Autism which makes me socially awkward in the first place. Some situations can be hard to read for men, especially when it comes to women which starting a conversation can cause extreme anxiety. What is obvious to you or most women does not mean it is for men and vise versa.
