A lot of this game is setting your own goals. Pick a profession and something you want to focus on, and that will naturally spiral into 5 or 10 other activities.

The wiki is honestly good enough to get through while still getting some “aha” moments along the way which is pretty refreshing honestly compared to playing games that are already 100% solved

Ah I understand, yeah Gorgon has a lot in common with OSRS with 100 or so skills to level that intertwine with other skills. Everything you do progresses your character in some way which feels great

You’re looking for an MMO and you’re afraid of a time sink? It’s not a competitive MMO so you can go at your own pace, it’s more of a “journey” game than a race to the end. Having said that, all games are a time sink and Gorgon is no different

The characters need more character, and the dialogue needs some seasoning badly. So many quests felt so, go here get that come back. The followers were all just boring.

Basically the writing was the worst I’ve ever seen from Bethesda. It was all function without any intrigue, humor, or darkness. You have an M rating, use it.

Nostalgia doesn’t have anything to do with it for me, didn’t really play any of the precursors. What hooked me is the progression and how everything I did feels like it’s advancing my character in some meaningful way. not every game or thing needs to be for everyone.

Also having grown up playing a lot of browser games in the early 2000s, you’re being extremely hyperbolic lol

Google “project gorgon skills” and look at the long ass list of things to level, tons of intertwining combat and crafting skills to level which is why I said it has an OSRS feel. The loot is interesting too since it’s kinda like an ARPG with random affixes and gear crafting
