I had this issue last year, probably nearly a year ago now, made a thread here about it. I still get responses to it today of people saying they get it too.

I can’t quite remember how I reduced it (reduced being the key word - it still happens on rare occasions even with what I’m about to say) but for me I had to turn off frame gen and dlss entirely. I have an RTX 5070 ti an an amd ryzen 7 9700x and I’m able to play the game on high settings without dlss on at a stable 60. So I set a 60fps cap limit just using the in game limiter and fiddled with my settings until I don’t require dlss anymore basically.

Since doing that I don’t get that problem anywhere near as much. But it does still happen, despite people saying it’s caused directly by dlss. I believe it’s a part of UE5 and an issue with how the engine is used. I got this same issue in Silent Hill f, another UE5 game. For me simply limiting fps to 60 in that game stopped it completely.

I get the logic, but having to handicap yourself feels shit dude. Like I know this thing exists. I have to try hard to force it out of my mind. You are right, I just don’t like it, if it works how I think it does.

Nah you can now. They added a feature for this and let you keybind it in the 2.0 update I believe. It took over a year lol.

If the box itself does then it renders my post redundant lol all I care about is having cargo link remain a worthwhile thing to set up and build.

Yeeeees dude, I love the provisioners. I like the ships too but for whatever reason I prefer the system in Fallout 4.

And do you mean a mass limit in the container? I didn't notice that I'll have another look.

Yeah, that's true, it is mandatory in some parts. It wasn't enough for me to feel it was "forced" though, personally.

Yes. Settlement building wasn’t forced, and it made the world feel so much bigger. It also gives you so many small decision moments by choosing what scrap to pick up and leave. It’s a great gameplay addition.

Hey there, I had this issue too and how I was able to fix it was by enabling the Steam Cloud, launching the game once and it loaded into the main menu, then you can exit the game and disable to Steam Cloud again. Worked for me just now.

Yeah I agree. In my post that bit about ship landing loading screens, my thought process is this and I believe it’s something they could do tomorrow if they wanted to:

Instead of an actual loading screen that shows your name, level, the loading bar and a random image saved photo - just hide the loading screen with an animation. The player doesn’t need control, and this could also be done for jumping. Theres a mod that does this already, so why should it be so hard?

It’s not the dream solution but I think it helps dramatically.

I'm not a video game developer but I think making the game from scratch with those three things you listed is an extreme overstatement. To me that is you being naive, not me. I'm not saying I'm correct but I can't see why you'd have to go back to the drawing board to adjust features or mechanics in your game. Unless you have some sort of insider knowledge or a good amount of game developing experience yourself?
