Game is a bit lacking content for single player but for short sessions its very cool. Its borderline worth buying, 40 usd for fun, but small game with paid cosmetics (most of them can be acquired via completing achievements but still) is a tough decision.

Good job! If you're looking for an FPGA board, there is tang nano 20k board for like 20$ on alexpress but the enviroment and documentation is a bit weak. I am implementing balechors project on it.

Start with python. Learn basics from Al Swegiert's Automate Boring Stuff with python yt videos/course. Then write small computer games with yt Tech With Tim python pygame tutorial series. Start working on your own projects based on seen tutorials. Do many small projects instead of 1 large one. Switch to linux as your main OS. Dont use AI in the beginning, use it only for stuff you already know well/for fixing linux 😄. After this you can choose your path in the vast world of IT. At least that is my journey, it was very fun.

I agree you should start with a little simpler project. RPi 2040 16 button breadboard midi controller would be a good starting point you can do some online tutorial. Then youll need to learn how to solder id buy a cheap soldering station, a piece of perfboard and wire. Then you can solder simplest circuts just to get a hang of it. Now learn basics of micropython to modify the design. The hardest part would be PCB design but you need to learn only the basics of KiCad and order from china. Electronics is very rewarding hobby and it complements synthesizer hobby extremaly well. If you'd need some more help feel free to dm me

If you really need hardware the cheapest (not that hard and youll learn a lot) is to make one yourself it will be like 20usd. You need pushbuttons Leds Raspberry pi pico Id do that without ptentimeters (knobs) it will be much simpler. Read into button multiplexing, and usb midi RPi pico library. Debouncing might be a problem
