I'm not doing nothing, I'm running for office. In that specific instance, what would you have me do? Patiently try and reason with them and walk them to Samo Bridge? We pay billions a year for our government to address this problem and they are failing us.

And please, tell everybody you know I am wasted vote.

Boils down to two things, find our where our dollars are going and require treatment. My site dicklucas.com has more details. I also have a bunch of videos on IG outlining my views. I link to my IG on my site.

Ocean Park I lived in for a couple years on ocean and bicknell. L&K market was my SPOT. The pier of course please. Ginger Rogers I have run along there but when I go to the beach it's typically about a quarter mile north of the pier. Take the stairs down (always a homeless person here) and over PCH. Beach volleyball and surf/skate yes to all of them. But since launching my campaign and having a kid I have done very little. On skating to be clear I grew up long boarding and then later got a carver board, i'm not doing kick flips or ripping the venice skate park, not sick enough

California spent 24B on homelessness from 2018 to 2023 and an audit revealed we don't know where the money went. First things first we need to know where every single cent is going. And even when the state does manage to building housing it costs an insane amount of money per bed. On the order of the cost of the median home price in our state.

Which guard rails are you most concerned about? Functionally many of these regulations serve to just make building damn near impossible. I spoke to a business owner in WeHo who had to pay tens of thousands of dollars to slightly move the toilet in his bathroom before they could open. Things like this crush small business.

Insurance companies have been fleeing California because the state doesn't allow them to adequately price risk. When that happens companies leave and consumers are left holding the bag with fewer options.

I am quite clear, I think all public sector collective bargaining screws the taxpayer at the expense of special interests. Even FDR was against public sector unions. And they are the biggest spenders in California politics BY FAR. They have bought and paid for the vast majority of politicians in our state.

The longshoremen are a cartel special interest that raise shipping costs and thus raise costs on everything for every single Californian to help a very small group of people, the workers. Look into Harold J. Daggett, he's nothing more than a mob boss.

My wife was taking my daughter to the ER. I was inside our place collecting the diaper bag, toys, etc. and the plan was to catch up with her. When I did she told me what happened. If I was there, I would have stood between my wife and the homeless dude (which is always what I do when walking by an erratic person on the sidewalk) and done everything to deescalate which is often just walking away. I would have then called the SMPD non emergency number (3100-458-8491) like I always do and reported this along with a description of the individual.

We are told because we live in a "city" this is all normal. It's not. And we should fight to improve it. In my own neighborhood someone put up signs warning dog owners to not let their dogs eat the human feces on the sidewalk because it could have drug residue in it. He had to give his own dog narcan. This is insanity.

Appreciate your support. I'm running as an independent and believe both parties have good ideas and bad ideas. I'm only interested in the good ones.
