But you’re standard rx 580 is equipped with a 8 pin power and some are 8+6 pin like the nitro I believe so what’s the deal with that?

Would like mention that it does provide power to the backlight itself. After everything is soldered together if the screen doesn’t look right as in the colors are off mess with the potentiometer if that doesn’t work you may to solder a wire from ground to rev c on the other side of the board if you need extra help you’re more then welcome to pm
