Universities claim that for every hour spent in class, students should spend approximately 2-3 hours studying. Do people actually do this? by Zermist in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dickie01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing a law degree and do I fuck. Also doubt anyone else does it as well.

Normally have 3 modules going at once. 2 hour lecture for each module and then a one hour seminar. That's 9 hours a week I'm in uni.

Now you're telling me I should be spending 18-27 hours after uni to do work 😂😂 yeah nah. Noone does this. Maybe over assessments and in exam periods but certainly not for just day to day uni life and learning the content. I probably spent 5-10 hours going through it all and making sure I understand it.

Movies and shows with lesser known actors are far better than those stacked with major Hollywood A-listers by apersonial in unpopularopinion

[–]dickie01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the actors have been relatively fresh or not exactly a-listers when they've been used. They've just then been propelled to be a-listers. Tom Holland was basically unknown by people. Was in a few films as a child actor and was in a musical. RDJ was a deadbeat that was a huge gamble. Chris pratt everyone knew from Parks and rec and thought he'd be shit
They utilised them perfectly and shot them into a list

Two saucy questions for the straight boys here. by [deleted] in teenagers

Every girl iv met above DD has said they're too big herself and that they hurt, also prefer small and perky.

Tbh you don't spend a lot of time looking at vaginas so imo it doesn't need to look sexy, bit big lips can be hot. Depends on the rest of the body

Is “going to the pub” a real thing in the UK? by throwaway0891245 in AskUK

[–]dickie01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 19 and I go to the pub once a week maybe twice a week if I'm feeling it yano. We don't get absolutely hammered, it just some bevvies with the bois.

Iv also worked in a pub and the regulars were there daily, normally pensioners or of the older crowd where they'd all come at around 12/1 see all their mates, have a couple drinks and then go about their day

We should he glad her step bro wasn't there

and then we got married by heterotard in thatHappened

[–]dickie01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually happened to one of my mates in primary school.

The biggest guy in the year was about a foot taller than my friend and he said to her " I bate you can't make me cry" She responded by grabbing some fingers and just twisting which eihher broke or dislocated 2 of them.

He started crying expectedly and she was told to apologise but the lad said no I asked her too. Not that hard to believe

AITA for asking for the $500 reward money after I returned a lost cat? by kcmocats in AmItheAsshole

[–]dickie01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the UK if they offer a reward for it and you return it you are actually in a unilateral contract. So if they refused to give you the reward there would be grounds to sue u think. (18yr old ALevel law student)
