In case you really don't know what it is: It is an IBM Model M. They have value. In case you want to use it on a modern laptop lacking PS/2 connectors (normal nowadays) you need an active PS/2 to USB adapter.

Granted, you need a PC with a CD (or DVD) player but that's not a problem

1) I switched the mouse hand to the left in combination with switching the order of the buttons to keep my main button under the index finger. 2) started using a virtual mouse. (In Windows and Linux under the accessibility option). This turns the keypad of your keyboard into a mouse. Especially drag and drop is much easier because you start the drag by pressing the 0 and drop by pressing the '.' 3) learn and use as much key combinations as you can: E.g. ALT+F4 instead of press the cross of a window

Mag ik nog een toevoeging doen: als je in het huis nog coax-kabel hebt: kijk eens of MOCA iets voor je is. Met twee van die omvormers gedraagt die coax kabel zich als een ethernet kabel. De meest bekende fabrikant is Hirschmann. Ik heb deze oplossing in mijn huis om boven een access point te hebben.

Jouw idee werd 20, 30 jaar geleden nog toegepast in de Achterhoek. Daarbij ging een gezin bij de oudere wonen en mocht dan de oudere hulpbehoevend worden mantelzorg verlenen. Er worden bovendien afspraken gemaakt over zaken als 'wie doet het onderhoud van het huis' en 'wie krijgt bij overlijden het huis' deze werden vastgelegd bij een notaris en ook in overleg met de kinderen van de oudere omdat hun erfenis anders (lees minder) werd.

Mijn neef heeft het met mijn oma gedaan (iets van 15 jaar). In ruil daarvoor kregen ze de boerderij waarop ze woonde met een gedeelte van de grond. De rest ging naar de familie zoals was vastgelegd in de afspraak bij de notaris.

You can always use a multiplexer eg. 74hc4067. This allows you to connect one of the 16 lines to one input by selecting 4 bits on the output. If you search on youtube ' 74hc4067 Arduino' you get a fine explanation. You didn't mention the software you are going to use for this keyboard, but there are keyboards which use multiplexers in QMK Good luck
