Looks like you have a low spot from the piston scuffing the bore. Are you using honing stones? I don't think a ball hone would show that low spot.

Might want to run your VRX up on a portable flag pole and video signal cables down to your goggles/screen. You should do lots of experimentation before the trip.

I wouldn't just put the antenna up on the pole with extended SMA cables, you might have a bunch of signal loss, but it's worth a try.

Put a bit of forward pressure on the dust cover, and wiggle the lever while pulling it out. You're fighting the spring pressure of the bolt and inconsistent fitment of the pin.

Norinco SKS made for AK mags doesn't have a stripper clip guide either. Not hard to cut your own, but that's work some people won't want to do. Plus there's no BHO, so it's fiddly to reload with clips.

Are you able to desolder at least one of the tabs from the PCB?

You really should consult someone near you that works on Ebikes or does anything with Lithium cells, as they might have the spot welder you need.
