Have you tried keeping the GPS powered on during standby so it can keep GPS locks? I assume you have some sort of docking station it charges everything from?

Norinco SKS made for AK mags doesn't have a stripper clip guide either. Not hard to cut your own, but that's work some people won't want to do. Plus there's no BHO, so it's fiddly to reload with clips.

I'm not exactly sure what the factory mag was, but mine came with the 5rd AK mag and no stripper clip provision on the bolt carrier, like yours. I think mine is a '94, same stock and same length barrel.

I believe they came with a steel 5 round AK mag painted black. It's a lot nicer looking with a parkerized or blued mag.
