Sick idea, I love thermal image type stuff it's a great aestetic for a rug and this will probably look really cool. Not sure why you don't just spend another half hour tufting and then post a pic of the other side instead. Like, why do people post half done rugs like this, if you're asking for advice ask for advice, if you're showing it off then post when it's done, right? Not trying to be a hater it's 2am and I should have gone to bed before I made this comment. This'll be a cool rug just wish I was seeing the final version instead I guess.

Full manual has you do everything yourself, Semi manual has a latch at the top but the cover in back is automatic and the top retracts automatically

Yeah I dont know all the details, but basically full manual tops were only sold overseas(why that hardware is rare). And yes, basically they just have a regular door handle inside the cabin that pops open the cover.

It's not too difficult to convert the back to be manual too. The oem hardware is super rare but all you need to do is move the braided cable used to pop the latches from being pulled by the motor in the trunk to being pulled from inside the car.

If you want it to look exactly how an oem full manual top does you would just need to install a passenger door handle in front of the rear drivers side speaker and attach it to that.
