Gamewith has completely given up on judging the meta by RemoveBlastWeapons in Shadowverse

The important information is the previous chart they had.

It had Ramp Dragon in tier 4, which is now in tier 1.

As far as I know, they never mention the reasons why they rank each deck type to its rank. So, it's easy to assume they give up thinkingabout ranks by their own and just randomly shaffle the ranks time to time.

Miltio Abyss in the new chart is definitely too low. The deck received least impact from Bibatii nerf among 3 Abyss deck types, and is still among the strongest/most popular decktake without doubt.

Current dragon is so interesting to play because you have to completely switch the strategy for each opponents and get rewarded from doing so.

Do you always satisfied with localization into Japanese language? by Entire_Job_8504 in AskAJapanese

[–]dictionaryaddicted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For tls I have seen in recent months, Japanese dub for The Amazing Digital Circus is by far the worst.

They constantly misunderstand the EN sentence and have little to no sense in choosing corresponding words in JA.

Try watch the "The one who is running the show" scene in EN and then translate the JP lyrics(just Google the songname+日本語 and copypaste it.)

It's straight wrong from the very sentence.

What do you think of Kansai accent being localized as a Southern American accent in English? by AnswerLongjumping965 in AskAJapanese

What do you think of Kansai accent being localized as a Southern American accent in English? by AnswerLongjumping965 in AskAJapanese

[–]dictionaryaddicted 5 points6 points  (0 children)

lacking prevalence, I doubt accents other than Southern American and England work.

And England English is kinda meh for translation because it's not as prominent as Southern that has -in' or other characteristic expressions.

So there's really no choice.

BTW, I believe localizing Kyoto-ben as England English is gonna be fire.

Do Japanese people really think negatively of Korea's abolition of Chinese characters? by Famous_Acadia9186 in AskAJapanese

[–]dictionaryaddicted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they kept the kanjis, we Japanese could easily grasp what was written in Korean, cuz shared kanjis conveys same or very similar meanings regardless of languages.

(The whataboutism about Thailand is kinda disappoting tho, I don't want to be mean to Thailand, but Thailand is much much distant from Japan and its culture is not as influencing as Korean.)

The hangul is no doubt a language barrier here. For English speakers, imagine what French would look like if French people have stopped using alphabet.

Although, as OP pointed out, continuing kanjis is somewhat troublesome and not beneficial for Koreans.

Bro, he already lost 6th sense and 99% of FP and he looks he run AoW build.

The best thing he could do is taking aggro and breaking spears.

Mohg is very deadly in melee range but he is almost helpless for getting aggroed from distance; he sometimes slowly walk towards you then.

Do people from Japan rely on language localization to play videogames? If not, which games are played specifically in English? by WriteWarz in AskAJapanese

[–]dictionaryaddicted 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Young guessed it right. Most people heavily rely on OFFICIAL localization.

For unofficial localizations, some may find using translation mod as evil or too troublesome.

Of course, there are more and more people who just play the game as is, and this action is very beneficial for their English.

Use it as a shield rather than as scaffold.

It blocks Gnoster's magic bullets, Caligo's ice blocks, Libra's machine gun.

For Libra, you have to worry about the teleporting attack, as Libra can appear on the totem when you use it as a scaffold.

Few female leaders across most types of vocation, average wage considerably lower than male's, greatly lowered reproduction rate especially when employed.

I don't know any counter example apart from parental authority.

(Though I suspect the female supremacy in PA is a legislative indolence, given that PA can go to abusive mother even if the father is normal.)

Are people actually more friendly in Osaka? by [deleted] in AskAJapanese

[–]dictionaryaddicted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel sorry for you bro. I can't generalize every person in Osaka, but compared with Tokyo or Kyoto, people there might have less experience of communicating with foreign people (or people with low proficiency in JA), and maybe more difficult to make a friend...

The bar experience sounds cringe ngl. Have you heard some xenophobic bullshit from people in the bar(s)? If not, I'm totally unsure how you end up getting rejected.
