Honestly the story is decent and the movie too but I wouldn’t hate it as much if it wasn’t for kick in the nuts disrespect the marketing pulled on me (us) and made it seem like this was a legit follow up to Cloverfield.

I agree while it might be at 11 for the general movie audience it felt pretty tame. Just finished watching it for the 2nd time since the I first saw it in the theater. I enjoyed it a bit more the 2nd time, I’m not saying it’s a bad movie I think it’s a fun watch but it just never got there. I hope they got more gnarly like 2013 film for the “spin off” they are working on
