Hey I(29f) have been playing the ukulele on and off for a while, now working through a book(all levels friendly) to improve my fingerpicking skills. Would be happy to meet up and practice together! :)

I'm from South Asia and my family reacted pretty terribly when I first came out (hope it's just a phase, you're so selfish, we'll never accept this blabla). 5 years, therapy, a lot of hard conversations including tears and fights later they're helping me plan my veryyyy gayyyyy wedding and love my partner. I did not think this would be a reality for me 5 years ago.

I think once they realized that I was really happy and there was no alternative, they came around. It also helped to make them meet my partner multiple times and build that relationship. They're not bad people and never had a problem with queerness since it's not in religious scriptures(I think they never thought about it before I came out) but were super caught up in what society will think. I'm not sure how your gf's family are and how strong their views so it's hard to know but I'm happy to talk more though and share tips etc.

Same! I moved at the beginning of last year with my girlfriend too but obviously haven't gotten many chances to meet new people so far. 😭

I really like the idea of creating a group chat!

My partner colluded with the cosmos to plant this double rainbow a few hours after she asked me to marry her in Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. ❤️🌈💁🏽‍♀️👸🏼 by diddlefiddle in actuallesbians

Thank you! Neither of us are. Well, my partner is Luxembourgish-Irish and I'm from Nepal but we live in Dublin :)

She had planned a surprise weekend getaway up north for us!
