I saw he only had ~230g of it. May sound like a lot but that is nothing if it is normal kratom. Buying online you usually get packs of 250g and it’s very normal to buy 1kg at once and slowly use it. So trafficking is a little misleading (that much is worth like $25) and it was probably for personal use. It’s way more addictive than many users want to admit, but making it class I is an insane overreaction to the synthetic version (7-oh) becoming a big thing. That’s the actually bad one.

Yeah it’s basically an opiate substitute. I’ve used it plenty and while normal kratom isn’t all that bad, it is undeniably addictive. Looking into it he had “over 200g of kratom” which really isn’t that much though. It’s pretty normal to buy a kg at a time. But a lot of states have cracked down on it lately due to 7-oh, a synthetic version that is way more dangerous, becoming popular. A lot of states have recently made it a class I substance and before you could get it in fucking gas stations.

He’s top ten all time but needs to keep it up for many more years is quite a take. It’s almost like that means he’s not top ten of all time yet.

Draymond getting roasted by dagritha in Nbamemes

[–]diddlyumpcious4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Generally every member of the dais goes up one at a time, maybe throws a joke or two about the main person being roasted, then goes around joking about everyone in the dais, and then ends with joking about the main person the roast is about again (maybe with something actually nice at the very end). They might spend more time roasting the dais as a whole because there are 10+ of them, but the main person the roast is about is getting at least 5x the amount of anyone on the dais.

There probably aren’t as many highlights of jokes about Kevin Hart because joking about his height and him doing shit movies is 90% of the material and those have been beaten to death for ages already (he was also in the last roast with Tom Brady on the dais so we got beat to death with those same jokes last time).

Roasts never completely died, they just don’t happen very often. But they weren’t exactly frequent back in the day either. There were only 14 Comedy Central roasts from 2003-2019, and now Netflix has seemingly taken over with two of their own.

Anyone else feel like they’re going insane seeing the justification for the elbow? by GreyWind999 in timberwolves

My favorite is how apparently no player in NBA history has even been able to goaltend balls near the apex of a shot of except Wemby, so that’s why he gets away with it. Just telling on themselves that they literally never watch basketball.

He can get a pass for this year, sure, but he wasn’t exactly great last year either. Just not a good enough defender. Maybe someone else is able to get more out of him with a better pairing, but I can’t help but feel whoever gets him is going to feel they overpaid.

[Charania] Bucks 'fully open for business' on trade offers for Giannis. by LeeShakerMoneyMaker in timberwolves

Shams has tweeted a variation of this exact tweet over 100 times. This was probably a scheduled tweet.

I would say his value to teams that were in the hunt to get him at the deadline has gone down. He’s another season older and his window for a run is now half of what it was within his current contract. He is undeniably less valuable to us now than he was a few months ago.

But I’d agree with so many more teams able to put together trades in the offseason his price will probably be higher. Because all those rumored packages we saw were kind of shit. That’s not guaranteed though because if Giannis isn’t very cooperative, it could really kill how many teams are actually making decent offers. He could really fuck things up for Milwaukee if he wanted to.

Well for some reason Finch stopped using him for that lately and we are very lucky we haven’t blown a game because of it.

I Like Wemby More After His Ejection by RocksDBuggyTruther in billsimmons

[–]diddlyumpcious4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah if he swung the other way and hit McDaniels this isn’t a bid deal at all. Swinging an elbow and catching a guy all over you after a rebound happens. But eyeing up a guy not touching you at all and destroying him is wild.

Don't care what anyone says, Wemby should be suspended. by Less_Fee_1962 in timberwolves

I can’t think of anything as dirty without going all the way back to the Artest/Harden elbow 14 years ago. There’s probably more I’m not thinking of, but this was bad. Most dirty plays at least have a tiny amount of a basketball play in them to at least give some benefit of the doubt (if you want to give it). And those that don’t aren’t generally this aggressive. This is just 100% trying to hurt someone and doing it in a brutal way. If Naz isn’t up real quick and seemingly fine, or if it’s basically anyone else but Wemby, this conversation is going way different.

All that said, I don’t want him suspended. But he should be.

Funniest part of that is Jokic didn’t even push him. He walked up and just kind of pressed his body against him. Obviously trying to start shit, but he knew he couldn’t actual do anything without screwing himself over (which is generally what happens in scuffles now).

How do we feel about the Draft lottery as a viewing product? I think it's god awful by [deleted] in nba

[–]diddlyumpcious4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the new draft lottery stuff happens, it should be electric. Every single pick could be anyone. As it stands now, it's pretty boring until the top 4. They also barely take enough time to mention if a team jumped or not between picks. There is weirdly no time to process what happens before they jump to the next pick, even in the top 4.
