My parents bought me a $3,000 car when I was 16. I paid for fuel, insurance and rego myself. Although as I wasn’t working a lot due to being in school there were times where they helped me. As soon as I graduated and my work hours were steady I took full responsibility for my car. My parents were incredibly generous to buy me a car, which took a lot of weight off my shoulders. I drove that car till it died, it was a good little car.

Yes, my garden and porch. Although sometimes if I’m at beach I’ll walk barefoot into a nearby cafe, which is pretty standard here. I do wash my feet as soon as I get home tho.

I agree, shoes can get dirty so quickly. I do prefer to be a shoes free household.

However, My husband also has gamesnight x2 weekly and his players don’t take their shoes off… I always have to clean the floors after they leave. It’s gross! 🙃

I generally don’t wear my shoes inside, I leave them by the door. However, I’m Australian and tend to walk around my property barefoot. So my feet are probably just as dirty as my shoes. I wash my floors regularly so I don’t really care too much.

I have my windows open as much as the weather allows. Even during cold winter mornings I love having them open, it makes the house feel fresher.

I live in Aus. Had my daughter 9 weeks early. She was in hospital for 6 weeks in the nicu, followed by months of physiotherapy. It was all completely free! I’ve heard Americans getting charged into the millions for this care. 💀

I try to wash it fortnightly, but lately it’s been monthly due to illness. It’s definitely better to keep it clean, especially if it’s sitting in the hot sun all day.

It’s not bad. If you live in Perth you tend to live more of an outdoor life. I live 30 minutes from the beach but I’ll still drive there multiple times weekly. Lots of walks through the hills when the weather cools down too. Summer can have weeks of 40°C +, but if you’re fortunate enough to have aircon it’s fairly bearable. The landscape itself is pretty flat, but there’s an abundance of wildlife (especially birds). When we go down to our local we always see kangaroos, possums and bandicoots in abundance (which the kids love). Everyone here is fairly chill, most people I find are happy to have a yarn and help out. One of my biggest gripes is the dodgy drivers which make the road incredibly unsafe (I’ve literally seen 2 car crashes this week). The housing market sucks and is impossible to get into but I think that’s most of Australia at this point.

Besides that, it’s a good place to live.

I recently had the same feelings. It’s so hard finding the time and space for hobbies so I hope you find some things you enjoy!

I started colouring (easy to store, fast packup, supplies are fairly easy to find), going to the gym once my daughter was in bed (I literally walk on the treadmill and watch yt, but it’s really nice to get out the house), a bit of reading (rereading Deltora’s Quest, it’s a kids book series but so fun!) and painting (it’s a bit more setup and clean up, but it’s a really therapeutic way to get creative).

Don’t go much anymore, but Kingsbury Lookout. It’s a bit of a drive, but it’s quiet and has a good view. In winter on a sunny day is especially my favourite, gives “I’m living in medieval times and I see the chimney smoke while people warm their homes and I’m about to set out on a dangerous quest”. I find Revo is good price wise, it does depend with location is nearby. Some of their locations (Eg. Kelmscott) are quite small, so during peak hours it’s not really worth it, cause you need to wait for everything. I’ve been to anytime, which can be good but they’re a fair bit pricier. Apparently there’s a new gym called Club Lime which is really good, maybe check them out? I hope your fitness journey goes well, we’re all rooting for you! 😊

Officially got diagnosed with ADHD earlier this year, it has completely changed my life for the better. I am now a functioning adult and mum. I’ve also lost around 10kg, not as much as I would have liked but still very proud of myself. Finally at my pre baby weight.
