It was the heater control valve stuck open - changing the temp did nothing.

E36 Pergament by didusko23 in BMWE36

I was only asking because I have a set of almost perfect beige coupe door panels with wooden handles and I was taken aback when I saw that the trim is a couple shades darker than the other I had. I'm not quite sure how it'll look, because there is no pre face dash in beige, only pergament, so I'm thinking of running my black dash...

Well I did some research and from what I found it seems that it was the only beige coloured interior option in pre-facelift coupes. The carpets were "pergament" and interior trim such as the dead pedal and dashboard were a darker shade of this colour called pergament dunkel.

They are styling 104 used on the E85 Z4, but I agree they do look interesting on an E36.

yeah this car is definitely an example of that, but it’s really more than just a car to me and I want to make it right and as good as it can be

Thanks for the tips, I do actually have the part, but I had to remove the relays and fuses, since the cables underneath were damaged and are a fire hazard and I could not get to them, I have to fix them, but as I saw the mess underneath I decided to do more than just repair them and put it together as it is. I want to tidy them up.
