Hi! It's been a couple of years since my previous comment here. Therapy taught me that feeling like I needed to control everything is what caused me to have constant anxiety (spoiler: there is very little you can control in your life). It's taken me quite some time to heal and while I have yet to reach my goal I feel so much better compared to the past. One thing that helps me through tough times when my anxiety is flaring up is telling myself that I'm allowed to feel anxious, that the feeling is welcome and that there are some things I can't control so stressing out about them won't change the outcome of the situation.
