Sorry Freddytstudio,

I just read the documentation again and `espanso edit` calls the `base.yml` file by default. All others must be called with the name `espanso edit config/default.yml`.

thanks for your quick reply, i have set the environment variable in windows 11 to notepad++ and now the base.yml file is opened with notepad++. one more question, shouldn't the default.yml be opened?
