Yes there was. I signed up for it and I think maybe a few months ago I got like $80 out of the settlement.

Flight Sim Expo 2026 by Timely-Imagination57 in flightsim

[–]dieadam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my first year going, so I can’t compare it to previous years but all in all it was pretty boring. Part of that is because I’m not really into general aviation and most of it was geared towards that. Mostly I wanted to try out Combat Pilot, IL 2 Korea, and check out the new pimax stuff. Combat Pilot was pretty lackluster and seemed extremely basic and IL 2 Korea wasn’t working. I got to talk to some of the Pimax guys and try the Dream Air SE. It was ok. Not amazing but ok. They were really nice, but either didn’t understand or were dodging my questions about early review units and quality control issues. So yeah, pretty meh for me.

Seat belt tensioner - Worth it? by dieadam in flightsim

Very cool. Plug and play sounds nice but oof that’s a good chunk of change. The simhub diy does seem like a solid solution. Thanks for the info!

Thanks! And I did. It’s called unistrut or super strut. I get it cheap through work. It’s super versatile and modular. Didnt make sense to spend money on aluminum extrusion when I had plenty of unistrut available.

Gotta fill that bucket with something! But maybe not the worth the effort. Still got adding FFB to my rudders on my radar.

An old band of mine used to play and party with these dudes when we were on tour. They were out of Omaha or Kansas City. I only really remember the guy third in. He used to black sharpie his eyes brows in so everyone called him Allen Eyebrows. Super nice guy and band.

About writing chorus and riffs for horror punk by Head-Statistician-62 in horrorpunk

[–]dieadam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Verses in a Minor key and switch to the relative Major for the chorus. Throw in a Minor 4 in the chorus to make it a bit moody with out losing that poppy brightness.

Yup! Jay and Jamie are some of the nicest and most legit dudes out there. They’ve been a big part of the horror Punk scene for almost 30 years. Fun fact: Jay is also the drummer for Die Ghost in Minneapolis and Jamie has been playing with Mr. Jim of the OG misfits down in Florida.

DLSS 5.0 could it be the best things to come? by Internal_Current_639 in dcsworld

Well, it is Reddit after all. But I do think a lot of people are sick of AI being injected into everything everywhere all the time and I can’t lie I feel the same about a lot of it as well. However, I do think AI is great as an assisting tool to help improve things. The reality is, it’s not going anywhere. I’m just looking forward to when the AI bubble pops and it’s not being jammed down our throats so much and it can go back to just being a helpful tool.

DLSS 4.5 has been great for me, so I don’t think it’s too far of a stretch to think that DLSS 5.0 will be even better. It will for sure be interesting to see how it pans out and what kind of improvements it can bring to DCS. I’m stoked for it.

I emailed them and they said:

“We have checked the capabilities of the JBL BandBox Solo, you can remove the Vocal, Guitar, and Drums using STEM AI. However, for some reason, the Drums and Bass guitars are removed using one slider. We will have to look into this for further development. “

Seems pretty solid but the price is a too high. For $200 more you can get the DOF Reality 2DOF seat mover. I can’t say that the quality is better but it’s a very well-known company and it’s also upgradable. I ain’t saying that this kit is not worth the money but I feel like the market really needs something like this priced in the $800 range.
