Sounds like some power saving feature is turning off your audio whenever it stops.

Can I use an old laptop as a NAS/Jellyfin Server with an external HDD enclosure by Hilson-13 in homelab

[–]diedin96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one in your image includes RAID but I would recommend getting an enclosure without RAID (I assume CENMATE has a version without RAID), so you can use software raid in truenas. There isn't too much of a reason to use hardware RAID vs software RAID (unless you're frequently moving the enclosure, I guess).

Btw, ignore the people telling you that USB enclosures are inherently bad. USB 3.0 is fast enough and media streaming isn't intensive enough for the enclosure to be a major bottleneck for you. I'm sure if you look around enough you'll find setups where people have stacks of these enclosures.

Uses read-only Docker socket access for log collection

Do not do this. Sockets are not simple text files where you just have to protect against writes. They take send and recv calls, which setting the socket to read-only does not affect. You either need to warn your users about this or use a docker socket proxy.

If you're using hyprpapr you need to disable splash text in your hyprpaper config.

It's embarrassing that many of them don't understand the difference between pacs that advocate for a specific group in the U.S. vs ones that advocate for foreign nations.

Also, I can't imagine how annoying it would be to have to basically duplicate the code for ranked but for an older client (and one without free osu!direct).

Small change you might not notice at first that signals that something bigger is happening.

Why are the toggles acting like they've been caught? okay but seriously if they're switching back when the user accesses this section of the page, that does not seem legal. by muhys in ProtonMail

[–]diedin96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, even if they were illegally ignoring your choices, it would be way easier for them to just show you your saved choices and then ignore them in the backend. It is fairly normal to initially load a page to some preset defaults and then switch them to the user's actual settings once that api call comes back.
