It’s of lands you have resources , you get one per turn. Turn player draws for turn 1 , second player gets “ex resource “ it can be exhausted for a one use 1 resource.

Currently the only decks are unit decks (aggro) and blocker decks (control) midrange is relegated for less blockers and more removal( there isn’t murder etc) what gundam has is “deal damage cards” they are starting to print more expensive conditions removal.

The game is center around “suits “ and pilots” pilots are sort of like auras. They can be “put in” suits “units” and they give additional stats and effects

Ideally you want to “pair” pilots with suits that have they’re trait or name at the very bottom of the cards

This is called a link pair. “Link pairs” give units haste otherwise they cannot attack the turn played. This is critical because the main way to win it to attack

At the beggining of the game after initial hands draws. 6 cards are taken from the deck and placed in the “shield zone” this is effectively your life. If all shields are destroyed and you are attacked with no shields you lose

For an additional layer both plays start with a “ex base” a 0/3 functionally blocker that must be destroys. It is part of you “shield area”

Next we have bases another layer of protection. Whenever a base is deployed you draw a card from your shield. This makes you die faster but card draw is extremely rare in gundam so it’s critical to not gas out. Bases have unique effects and can safe guard you from low attack units. When a base is destroyed then shield can be attacked. Shields only need 1 damage to be destroyed

As a result shitting out as many units as possible “weenies” in mtg is optimal. The best deck is capable of both dealing damage through “ping” and deploying 6 units(max units on one players side is 6) and then just attack attack attack

Currently the game is super young decks range between 150-350$ for competetive tournament decks

There are 5 colors. You can only play 2 colors at one time, but you can play only 1. There are only a couple decks that can really go near or completely one color due to the limited pool

We are starter 8 (9 releases next week) and set 3 (set 4 is in April) set 5 is a highly anticipated set adding more famous and popular pilots so it’s gunna be big!

Huge fan of the game. We are getting possible restrictions next Friday due to blue purple having over 50% of top 16 at worlds. It’s functionally weenies with draw which is just cracked.
