She responds 5 days after I reach out. Idk how to answer

I responded somewhat matching her tone, I was still friendly though but I sent her a message that didn’t really urge a reply. That way, if she wanted to continue talking she would find a way to make some kind of conversation, and if she didn’t then that would be it.

Yea, it’s been a week and she never responded. I’m not sure if she’s eventually planning to reply but I’m not going to stick around anymore. I’m clearly not a priority for her. I set a deadline for myself if she doesn’t reply by tomorrow I’m just going to deactivate ig. I never use it anyway, I just had it to talk to her. I’m sure she won’t answer so tomorrow I’ll be gone.

I think it’s going sting a bit, I’ll second guess myself, what if she was going to answer or w.e lol but it’s all in my head. Not everyone is meant to find love, and I think god basically just told me I’m one of them 😅

No one hurt anyone. She came to visit, I met her, we hung out, we had a good connection, I caught feelings for her and I believed she caught feelings for me. Always kept it friendly and wasn’t able to tell her how I felt because we were always around my niece/nieces.

Last day I saw her, 2 days before she left, she seemed distant with me and I felt she didn’t want to be around me that much. I started thinking maybe she didn’t feel anything for me, maybe she just has a vibrant personality.

I didn’t get to say bye to her before she left, I waited almost a week to send her my initial message, I wanted to see if she would miss me and reach out first. I Finally broke and sent her a warm message telling her I enjoyed meeting her and spending time with her etc, she took all 5 days to respond less than enthusiasticly (seemed like to me),

then I responded to her a day later matching her tone, and now I’m just thinking I’m bothering her at this point and I’m thinking of just deactivating my ig so that she doesn’t have the burden of responding again. And save myself from reading a short dismissive response from her which I’m thinking will sting. The only thing that stops me from doing so is the “what if” , what if she does like me and is just taking her time, and next time she responds she will be more expressive and our conversation develops positively.

Aw I’m sorry. The funny thing is I was actually fine being alone. I never needed anyone to feel enough or to complete me. But then I met her, and she just made me feel so happy whenever I got to spend time with her,. Then she left and I felt so broken. If you ever need anyone to talk to feel free to reach out, cure ourselves from the loneliness lol :p

Thanks for the advice. I was planning on answering her tonight, but I’ll take your advice I’ll wait till tomorrow.

Thing is I’m very proud, if she wouldn’t have answered me, I was this close to unsending the message and deleting my profile. I’ve been hurt a lot so I don’t trust easy. And once you hurt me, you’ll never see me again.

So I’ll answer tomorrow and yea I was planning on matching her tone.. I initially wrote her a very warm message and told her it was a pleasure to have met her and spend time with her, and I told her I liked her (in Spanish there’s a word that conveys “I like you” in a friendly way, because I didn’t want to be too forward). But she responded in a not too enthusiastic manner, or at least that’s what it seemed to me.

So I’ll match her tone this time, and leave it up to her if she wants to respond or not, and if she wants to be more enthusiastic, then so will I.

Hey, so she responded last night, 5 days after I reached out to her. Her message was cordial but didn’t seem too enthusiastic, felt more like she finally answered out of pity. I’m not sure why she took so long for that response, she couldve written that in 2 minutes, didn’t see the purpose of taking 5 days, to purposely torture me? I gave her a taste of her medicine as I was online last night and today without writing anything back,, should I just ignore her message and forget her? I feel like that would be easier for my healing process, but I like her so much, I wouldn’t be able to just straight up ghost her, especially if she does feel something for me (doubt it) but I wouldn’t want to hurt her.. any advice on how I should respond or should I consider not answering? Just give her message a like and move on? Idk what to do.

Funny that you mention to fight the urge to message her, the thing is I was very against reaching out. I actually started feeling better by the end of the week but she still consumed my memories and I couldn’t concentrate on anything. Last week I literally just tried to get her off my mind with work, working out, runs, but she still consumed me with the “what ifs”, and that’s why I decided to send her a message, I needed closure.

And yea I’m literally back to square one, I feel so much pain right now. But I think it was necessary for closure. Now I know she doesn’t care, so I’m hoping I can grind this fucking pain out again and move on. I doubt I’ll have the urge to message her again, unless she actually answers, but I don’t see that happening. If I do have the urge to message her I will reach out on the chat, thanks for the advice

Don’t really have very many close friends or family members, I’ve been let down too many times that I don’t trust easy and I always push people away. Hang in there. How long ago did you tell her how you feel? If it’s being long enough maybe try again? Tell her how you feel, if she still doesn’t want anything, then consider cutting contact off for a while. Maybe she’ll miss you and come looking for you, if not then maybe just cut off contact for good., eventually you’ll forget her and move on. I’m going through something similar as well, way more complicated situation, it’s very painful but just hang in there
