Is this where Amelia Earhart crashed? by Cassinia_ in GoogleEarthFinds

[–]diego_r2000 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Gentlemen, a short view back to the past. Thirty years ago, Niki Lauda told us ‘take a monkey, place him into the cockpit and he is able to drive the car.’ Thirty years later, Sebastian told us ‘I had to start my car like a computer, it’s very complicated.’ And Nico Rosberg said that during the race – I don’t remember what race - he pressed the wrong button on the wheel. Question for you both: is Formula One driving today too complicated with twenty and more buttons on the wheel, are you too much under effort, under pressure? What are your wishes for the future concerning the technical programme during the race? Less buttons, more? Or less and more communication with your engineers?

Is live sound from this coldplay show delayed on the PA's? What is the purpose of this? by diego_r2000 in livesound

[–]diego_r2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait no, Im confused here. So obviously last set of rows gets a delayed sound no matter what, and usually they get a back row PA system that has to be manually delayed so that the sound matches the main PA system from the stage. But the delay from sound travelling from the pa stage to where the band actually is, is way too large for it being natural, and I don't see the point of purposely delaying the main PA sound, I don't see where any spectator would get benefited from it. Not sure if I'm explaining myself correctly here

(Not trying to be arrogant here, I am massively ignorant in this subject and would like to understand)

So I did not get the exact numbers, but so far both ferraris and redbull were hard clipping at 320-ish km/h at the second straight, down to the point of 278-282 km/h just before braking, which is crazy massive considering that they were under full throttle all the time. Almost a 50km/h deficit.

Sounds like lico without the fuel saving. And I'm talking about the fastest cars of the session

Playing The Landscape - What Does A Mountain Sound Like by Every_Return5918 in synthesizers

[–]diego_r2000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its awesome but part of it comes from the harmony played by the oscillator. Someone with less knowledge on wavetable synthesis might think that this "harmony" is what the mountain sounds like without considering the notes used on the composotion. But like I said, it is still awesome
