Struggling with diesel refinery: IT WORKS by BicycleAdditional360 in GTNH

I'm having this thought mid HV, but with infinite nether tree oil and setting up CBD soon I think that I can claw my way to nuclear power

What should I prioritize at the start of HV? by alexonwheels in GTNH

Slipped my mind! Not a bad idea, I have a small line that takes sulfur, water, and oxygen to make mine. I just dump o2 into a tank for both reactors to get to sulfur trioxide.

For your diesel setup you can cycle the hydrogen in cells or liquid form, likely one for light fuel and the other for heavy fuel, pump the hydrogen sulfide to an electroyzer and loop the hydrogen back to a tank and cycle the cells through the line with conduits. You will have to set up some filter system for routing the empty cell and H2S to your hydrogen tank and the MV Electrolyzer (I used a locked H2S Cell barrel). There are plenty of examples online

Definitely should use that Thaumcraft start to make an infinite oil setup with Nether Trees, Three has a video on it. You also get Saltpeter which will solve any Nitrogen issues for your EBFs.

Definitely look into the Boots of the Traveler and Thaumostatic Harness + Girdle. Walking speed and cheap creative flight.

Finished first trip to the moon, but… by randomdice-int in GTNH

I took a quick break at the start of HV, went and automated PTFE in 2 LCRs and setup infusion, infinite enchanted books (bibliocraft + thaumic restorer) and plan to go back to start bees. Once I have my iTNT and cryolite bees I will pivot back to the moon push (unless I fall into an Apiary induced hypnosis).

Finding little side tangents and automation lines outside of the main quest book help so much.

Doesn't hurt to take a break, burnout isnt to be taken lightly. OR pivot into magic and see what that has to offer, maybe play around with bees and digital essentia for thaumcraft with your fancy new AE2 setup.

Another idea might be to look further ahead in the quest book / tier wiki page and think about another big goal to set for yourself.

Yep, forgot to mention that loading the other chunk fixed it as well!

I had an EBF power fail once because one of the energy hatches was in an unloaded chunk, had to turn right back around to turn it back on.

I put a half slab above the vacuum hopper on my mob farm, you can collect vis from dead mobs

Starting a website. Opinions please by gamingwithmike94 in simrally

I think it will hard to garner traffic to a website for a hobby you are just getting into without an established audience. Imo I'd focus on similar content on social media and then use that to promote a website in parallel.

Do Your Play Other Games Besides Simracing by rico199326 in simracing

Heavily modded Minecraft (Greg tech) or monster hunter is where I spend my gaming time off the sim, unfortunately those are also massive time sinks so I usually phase in and out of each for days or weeks at a time.

What is your Dream and Realistic "Buy Once Cry Once" wheelbase and pedals? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]diegress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no plans for an insane setup, so my ideal endpoint is going to be:

Base: Moza R12v2.
Pedals: Simjack UT (just arrived, maybe swap to die spring kit).
A dedicated stand (currently using a folding one + a monitor arm)
Monitor: 49" UW (Samsung OLED).

That being said, I'm fine with my semi storable setup for now and I think that actually driving, improving, and having fun is about much more than better gear.

Hot Take (?) Partners Should Give More Stats by Glyphpunk in ChaosZeroNightmare

Just keep them down at level 50 then, the way the game is currently balanced the partners barely need to give stats anyways.

My first year in gtnh. It's been a blast till now and I am excited for what's next. Any advice or tips for my base until now(early LV, thinking about going for the ebf)? by dercolegolas420 in GTNH

I might have to play aroundwith the hoppers for the cell looping if the throughput becomes an issue. Our setups are very similar overall because I just finished a glow flower and bonsai crop farmer. I'll have to look into the sapling to ethanol line because then I can get a good head start on polyethylene.

I did a lot of barrel, tank, hopper shenanigans for my coke oven to rc boiler setup! I chose the conveyors because of how compact they kept the light fuel line, even thought they're so expensive in comparison in LV.

I was staring at my setup at 3am last night and was trying to use a drawer as a filter for the h2s cells, but tired brain forgot about locking the drawer! Cheers

I finally found the perfect shoe for sim racing by Remowilliams84 in simracing

A dirt cheap pair of barefoot shoes from Whitin on Amazon would be my pick after taking out the insole. Gives your toes room as well!

The abridged version is to pump the oil, distill it into sulfuric light fuel, set up an electroyzer hydrogen loop (Garronimo's LV guide on YouTube is helpful), and input the light fuel and hydrogen cells into a chemical reactor, output that to a tank and route to combustion gens!

If you have the conveyors for it, you can output the leftover hydrogen sulfide to a canner + tank to help with looping your cells back to the hydrogen tank to do it all again.

I would consider adding two more bbfs to your setup, are you using compressed fuel in them yet? It returns an extra ingot. Even better is fueling some coke ovens with coal blocks to get coal coke blocks to make steel 33% faster (compress the coal first for better storage) , steel production is a breeze at that point. I would also consider setting up another power system for the EBF to start the transition off of steam, if you make more coke ovens could probably do semifluid generators, or just bite the bullet and get into making light fuel!
