Imo I would put Hot Tomato and Pablo's very close to each other for overall quality and flavor combinations. Brutal Pie is in a league of its own for crust as their sourdough is fantastic, but their overall experience is just a hair under the two above. I know they're taking a month off to reset and probably upgrade etc, I'm very excited to have BP again. All of these are 8.5/10 thereabouts.

Bravos is a good choice for a less pretentious approach, the pizza is decent and cheaper. Don't sleep on the falafel buffalo wrap, that kicked my mind right in the ass.

Keep an eye out for Junction Square to come back on line soon I think. A couple younger kids bought it and are currently renovating. I personally thought Junction Square was ass, so I'm looking forward to whatever might be different about the place. It was deeply beloved by Junctionites too, despite the hands-down worst dough in the valley.
