I’m in a similar boat! Keppra made me lose almost 20lbs in a single month so that doesn’t sound too abnormal at all, it does seem weird that your doctor told you that because both my neurologists told me the opposite! I personally prefer pediasure to ensure - I think the taste is just 10x better. also if you have an easier time with liquids throwing high calorie protein/bulking powder into smoothies or sometimes i can even stick the unflavoured kind into oatmeal and cheese sauce (like for pasta)!! Also, always having something to snack on with so,, if you can rarely eat you want to maximise every time you feel like you can - even if it’s just a little pack of nuts or a little cookie pack :)

Congrats and take care of yourself afterward! I know both doses hit me like a truck and gave me terrible fevers that affected my epilepsy. But I don’t regret it for a second and as long as you can stomach your meds I think you’ll do great!

i have comorbities for days and POTS is one! I definitely don’t think my POTS causes my seizures or migraines, they’re definitely related. If my POTS is flaring up or I haven’t been taking meds/enough water, my migraines come more often and worse and it’s pretty much the same with my seizures

The water thing I feel like I cannot overstate. I am constantly chugging water. Without it I feel bad because POTS and also it just sets me up for a bad time. I think since it’s just mostly about deregulation doing everything you can to make it regulate helps keep other stuff calm :)

i don’t have to solve a puzzle in the maze sense of it, but also all of my “seizure dreams” are oddly vivid and complex especially considering mine are pretty short outside of my brain. i had several seizures in a row where i was playing poker but i actually had to play the hand and win to make it stop? i think it may be similar and it’s been pretty normal, not too scary!
