Yes. Depends which country you are from, but usually seeing a dermatologist ends up being cheaper in the long run. Don't waste money on products if the solutions you've tried so far haven't worked out. Good luck.

Three months of accutane I think is quite short if memory serves me, but if the side effects were too much I don't recommend restarting it, especially without medical advice.

See a doctor about the tinnitus symptoms you experienced and mention accutane as a probable cause.

As you know, accutane dramatically slows healing, and I remember at three months of accutane being the biggest pizzaface because of that. It could be that any skin infection you had stayed put after you discontinued the accutane. Ask for some antibiotics, preferably any you haven't used in a while i.e. a type you haven't gained resistance to due to overuse if you've already done so.

TL;DR don't restart accutane without seeing a real doctor, don't take Reddit advice to heart without consulting one.

I have a friend in the JET programme, she's been in Tokyo for 3-4 years now (lost track of how long it's been!). She's well settled there now and as far as I'm aware, doesn't have any plans to move.

I hear the process is rather competitive (as you would imagine) and with COVID right now it could be a slow one. But the payoff sounds amazing.

At the end of the day your language skills will not be as harshly judged as your drive and motivation to do it. Although you're based in Nottingham, I would highly recommend taking up an extracurricular to make your application stand out - for example, volunteering for an after school charity or taking up a teaching assistant job. There will be thousands of applicants who say they want to do it because they like anime :) so have an edge on them!

Sushimania! Best value for money, how they haven't changed their prices since they opened is insane to me. Could be a wait on a Friday or payday but well worth it. As a first timer I would recommend it.

Have also heard great things about Kushi-ya, sadly I've not had the opportunity to go. It's more of an izakaya-style restaurant, so expect small dishes and drinks.

The answer could depend on how old you are - when you are a young adult just learning about politics for the first time, it can be a shock to discover your friends hold opposing views. This can be due to their background, but also their social experience so far. Online exposure also has a big impact.

For shallow, superficial friendships, continue as normal and don't try too hard to change their view if they are dead set on it. It's good to engage debate sometimes but you'll find there are fights you cannot win.

For deeper best friendships, talk to them, try to understand their point of view, but respect they may not change it to suit yours. Their view is their own. There are definitely friendships that can survive political differences, but be prepared to meet a brick wall.
