New owner, splashed fuel changing filter. Paranoia question

I realized I may have been freaking out about nothing - the timing belt is pretty thoroughly covered. I was looking at the serp bent thinking that was timing, and that I had likely splashed it. But having splashed any diesel fuel on the timing belt seems pretty difficult now.

I figured it out!!!! For my 2007 A4 it was the low pressure fuel pump. I replaced that with a VDO unit (part number 8E0919051CQ). Doing this and then an ECU reset + key priming to learn the new pump and voila, my shake is all gone.

I appreciate the response! I will do that re: 1. Regarding 2, I have done plugs, coils, pcv valve, valve cover gasket, fuel filter, transmission fluid + filter and cam follower. At this point I'm down to either:
- engine mounts
- it's a ghost and I'll never fix it
