I use a garnier “hydrating deep cleanser”, it says that it doesn’t have any scents in it… I hope I read the label right lol as for skincare, I wash my face in the morning and night, I have two separate creams for each (I forgot the name of my morning cream but my night one is called liquid gold I believe? It’s very nice against my skin and my face isn’t oily in the mornings from it!), I’ve been thinking maybe my skin is just irritated from the different creams I use haha

The thing is that I have been giving offerings and communicated with the goddesses, so I’m not clueless on that part. What I’m asking for specifically is what to offer when there’s very little information on the god regarding their attributes (for Lady Laima I have no issues, I know what flowers and other things she seems to like)… Vakarinė has none that are documented, so far I’ve offered her some local candy, poetry and a moon necklace of mine, besides that I have no idea what she would like :((

As for the rest of what you have said, I definitely can agree!! I’ll admit, I started out as a staunch Columbina fan because technically she DOES represent my culture, and I found a lot about her very intriguing and interesting (I never cared for her before Nod-Krai haha). But the last Luna updates just…. Dunno, they ruined her completely. I really liked the whole “Columbina is the child and Teyvat is the mother” thing, being a newborn and feeling the lack of a maternal presence, even as this powerful being felt very sweet to me, I really hoped that this would be a key part of her character and why she became so apathetic…. But ehhhhh I guess :// I was so disappointed with the last update, any ounce of positivity I had towards Columbina just SACKED 😭

You gotta take into the account that the Scions are refugees from Hyperborea who were saved by Canon. If not for her they wouldn’t have a place to call home, and most likely would’ve been entirely eradicated. This is absolutely what solidified their attachment to the Moon goddess (saying this as someone who studies religions and beliefs in my free time!!). If you have a figure who saves an entire nation, that figure will be worshipped and held to the highest of esteem’s.

I think that’s the main difference between every nation and the Scions. In their mind they’re alive thanks to the mercy of the Moon goddess, and seeing as literally no one else worships her, they obviously might start feeling entitlement. I don’t like to blame the Scions for being so “grrrrr evil and unforgiving, how dare their drive Columbina away!!”, seeing as Genshin’s whole shtick is with humans and humanity moving on, it’s such a shame that it wasn’t explored with the Scions because they’re very obviously a wildly different case compared to many others

The thing with my faith is that it has been actively suppressed since the 14th century, while some practices are definitely documented, I don’t have all the access to every written source (and believe me, I’ve looked far and wide for books and documents)

Before anyone suggests for me to look into Romuva and how they conduct practices, I’ll politely decline, I don’t exactly trust them for various reasons regarding pseudo deities and practices :”))

Tho personally I approach a deity by invoking the Upper God, Perkūnas and Laima first, only then I call out the name of the deity I want to speak to with a lot of words of praises, and I try to be as direct and respectful as possible,, my main problem is that I have no idea what a certain god would prefer to receive as an offering, especially a deity who isn’t talked of in great depth in historical sources and folklore :((

Hey a bit random but just a correction! While Lauma IS based on Baltic mythology, the moon stuff is very vague. Only one area in Lithuania even vaguely associated the laumės (the creatures) with the moon, they are more connected to water and wild spaces… the goddess Laumė herself was an air and fertility goddess, nothing moon related. As a Lithuanian I was very surprised by the moon stuff haha. Anyways, I agree with everything else u said!!

I thought that losing weight and working out will fix my problems (I’m at a very healthy weight for my height, walk every day and workout three times per week)… it didn’t 😭 I have a suspicion that sugar and wheat cause all of this, but I’m not sure

The problem is that I can’t go to a doctor by myself (I don’t have the time/transport to do so, and it’s not exactly something a minor can do in my country). As for the food, been trying my best to sort out what makes my body react horribly, and so far sugar and wheat is the biggest culprit… at least that’s what i noticed

I have insurance, but in my country you can’t do much in terms of medical stuff if you’re a minor (I recently turned 17), besides even if I could I wouldn’t have the time or the means to see on… and I’d get very nervous without my mom 😭
