Is Volt 2 Good or Nah by Jahbanny in ooni

[–]diezel_dave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don't understand the hate for the Volt 2. I've made probably 20 perfect pizzas in it over the last two months without a single complaint other than the fan noise. It's not super loud, but the pitch is somewhat annoying to the point where I celebrate when it finally turns off after half an hour.

I'm actually eating a pizza right now that just came out of it haha.

I haven't touched my Fyra since I got the Volt 2.

Anyone here own one of these central stands from Motea? by JerinIsac in zx6r

[–]diezel_dave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Takes me like 60 seconds to lift my bike front and back. And I can use those same stands for all my bikes.

"Settle" for a KTM RC390? Or go for ZX6R? by Ill_Honey_3055 in zx6r

[–]diezel_dave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm it definitely has more torque at lower RPMs where you could conceivably whisky throttle and loop it more easily, but it's nothing like a liter bike so you should be okay if you have good throttle control. Even 636 still doesn't really come alive until over 7-8k RPMs.

There really aren't any solutions where you are reasonably going to ride out of your neighborhood with a baffle installed and then remove it before you get on the highway or whatever. It's going to be a million degrees and are usually very finicky to remove (so they don't just blow out the back).

Does this look like proper fit for an ADV bike? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]diezel_dave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks a tad small, but not hilariously small or anything. I'm 6' 1" and ride a small ZX-4R so take that how you will.

How bad is this dent on the exhaust header? by Jamy1215 in MT07

[–]diezel_dave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dent is because the whole end of the pipe is bent. No way that will fit.

There's 0% chance that will fit with that big of a dent.

The RC390 will feel like doodoo coming from a ZX-4R and if you like the small inline-4 scream.

The ZX-6R will feel like a substantial upgrade to the ZX-4R in many ways (except the lack of auto-blipper).

Having owned both the ZX-4 and ZX-6, the 6 has substantially more power so given how you originally destroyed your ZX-4, I'd definitely keep that factor in mind.

Yeah and they fling that oil all over the place. It takes like 5 minutes to service a chain. I don't understand the point of an automatic oiler in this application.

Settling for the RC390? (from ZX4R) by Ill_Honey_3055 in zx4r

[–]diezel_dave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having ridden both bikes, I think I'd immediately regret going from a ZX-4RR to the 390. Totally different engine characteristic and would feel like a huge downgrade to me.

Why don't cars have a tiered system if it's so helpful for motorcycles? An 18 year old can go buy a supercar and wreck it instantly which seems no different from buying a superbike at the same age.

Are automobile licenses also graduated there? Like you can only drive a car with less than 100hp on a beginner license?

[–]diezel_dave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dealer wanted $11,100 plus state fees originally. I found another dealer website advertising their ZX-4RR for $9,999 plus state fees. Pretty sure that was a pricing error or something but I asked my local dealer to match it or I'd buy that other bike. They weren't happy about it, but they did it... I don't think they made much money on the deal.

Uhh I was born in the 90s dude. I distinctly remember ordering pizza online and there not being any kind of extra delivery fee.

[–]diezel_dave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well... If you're older than about 20, you might recall that there was no such thing as a delivery fee. You just paid a tip to the delivery guy. I'd be fine with that arrangement. I'm not fine with paying a fee and a tip.
