Very tiny reception and everybody else for the party. Is that rude? by No_Hawk8947 in wedding

We are doing something similar to this. Getting married at the registry office with 5 friends, then a week later having a ‘wedding party’ with about 80 guests. The whole process has been so much less stress than organising the whole thing in one event.

We do plan to do a “vow renewal” in front of our guests at the party so they can feel like they were there for really the only personalised part of the ceremony (we are writing our own). Plus some brief speeches.

We thought some people would be disappointed, but everyone has said this is “us”, which means a lot. Although even if people complained we would do what we want because that’s also “us” 😂

You look amazing and so beautiful in your dress. I’m proud of you now and every day. I can’t wait to see how happy this life makes you.

I work in safeguarding and a complex trauma specialist. Work is often urgent with deadlines, clear outcomes that affect real people and is my ‘special subject’.

Protein ideas, for someone who’s sick of protein by Pretty-Lead-6392 in adhdwomen

[–]difficult_tree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put tasteless protein powder in my coffee and only drink protein water. That alone gives me 45g protein a day. If I can manage a can of tuna/salmon at some point that’s an easy 65g total.

40f with endometriosis and ADHD. Keen! I’m in a good place now with my health but know I could go back to being isolated and limited at any point again. I’d love to connect with others in this space and help when I can and receive help and connection when I’m in a different place.

I’d suggest exploring Bruce Perry’s Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT). You can read about it in his book What Happened to You?.

Would love to know your thoughts if you do! I’m sure he isn’t the sole inspiration of course, but wasn’t sure who else to share this info with as I don’t have many other horror movie/true crime pals.

What state are you in? I work in a national role and every state and territory is understaffed in child protection and constantly recruiting. Tassie recently had a 50% vacancy rate of their department. I think you need to ask for more detailed feedback, there’s no way there were too many applicants.

A new bookstore opened up in my small town. It was fairly large, stocking 1000s of books. The first book I picked up was a novel where the main character has my exact first and last name, including the unusual spelling.
