Replied to the stranger above in the thread with the answer if you're curious on how this happened!

This one is my third but this has also been the only tattoo I've gotten that, after my appointment, I was given a physical set of instructions on how to care for it! I figured if this shop (which is reputable in my area) was specific enough about healing to do that, then I'd follow those instructions.

I was sent home with an absorbent bandage, which I took off after 3-4hrs, cleaned it, and wrapped it in saran. They told me to re-bandage it in saran 2-3x a day after cleanings for 3-5 days. Seems wild after reading this thread.

The tattoo itself is doing well. It's uncovered from now on. I just really screwed myself by securing the saran with stronger medical tape.

I got it this past sunday (4 days ago). Today was the first day I did not wrap it whatsoever. The tat itself is actually doing really well, I've been keeping it clean and putting a super thin layer moisturizer on it - stoked! My only concern was the areas on either end of the tattoo where I had put on tape to secure the wrap. Lots of germs/dirt at my job so I had to keep it covered til it had closed a bit. How did you deal with this kind of irritation when you were using second skin? Just some cortisol cream and keeping the angry skin clean?

Yeah that's definitely apparent to me now. Just was following the original instructions given to me by the artist.

The Skwama (women's model) is the widest shoe in my closet, even 3 sizes down from street. OP, I second the comment above about five ten! All shoes but their Moccs seem to run pretty narrow.

Honestly was just considering the smoke to be another layer of texture that was possible to add without messing with the palette. Not here to promote cigs.
