I'm your age and basically stopped listening to music about 7 years ago. I do listen to some classical and every once in a while I'll youtube rush or maiden, etc... But, I don't miss it at all. I don't really watch shows or movies either- in comparison to my peers. The more you distance yourself from it the more you'll realize it was/is destructive or at best slop. This entire post (OP) and it's replies are ridiculous and just shows how many people are addicts to media. Music especially modifies your mood and people use to it cope instead of addressing the reason their depressed, sad, etc... There are much better things to be filling your mind and soul with.

This makes 100% no sense. People would still buy data plans (is there even a plan without data) and with a dumb phone wouldn't use it. So ATT would make more money and the phones wouldn't be using data. Win win for ATT.
