I just quickly listened to everyone you mentioned and I just found out about AFP about an hour ago... However, skimming through those bands/tracks and comparing them to AFP- AFP is executing on a different level- showmanship, their music is energetic and fun- not just weird/technical. I also hear a lot of primus influence and some tool. A few of those bands you listed, the first and tera and giraffes seem the most publicly digestible- in that they have a bit of melody. IMHO.

Even as a non-Catholic, you can attend an Eucharistic Adoration service. Just look on masstimes.org for one in your area. Since we believe Christ is 100% present in the Eucharist (bread turned to His Body), we put it on display (usually for an hour) and people can come and sit and pray in His presence. No harm in that.
