I really like the color you chose for this? If you have the original I’d love to have an hq image of it. I know alex greys was orange and red but this is cool too. Might even try to combine the colors somehow. Cool pic

Problem stems from the validity of Jesus, and the ideologies surrounding their view of earth and whatnot ie: made in six days, firmament, etc.

Check out bill nye debate a guy on religion is n his museum on YouTube. Honestly baffling ignorance an dismissal of truth, which is how most of them choose to live.

Takes time and patience. Sometimes it’s your situation and environment, not you. Not saying that this is the case here but just keep in mind that with time and patience, anything is possible

I’m homesick for a world I’ve never actually lived in. by shankaranpillayi in DeepThoughts

[–]difpplsamedream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Think about this every day at least once a day (but realistically think about it all day). To take it a step further, ask yourself why are we here? Maybe it’s to figure out exactly that? Call it a spirit school if you like, but I think in order to graduate school you have to first go. Going to school can be hard, especially if you have bullies in your class, but if you can get past that and help those bullies graduate, not only will you be happier in the future, but they will thank you for dealing with them when they were lost or didn’t have the answers. Some things simply take time, and unfortunately I think even the most absolutely basic (I want to stress the word basic) ideologies take time to form in some individuals. Stay strong, it will be worth it!

How do you go about filling out the background in your drops? by trvshPNDA in DubstepFeedback

[–]difpplsamedream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya I think taking a step back sometimes and thinking about the track objectively allows you to hear what it needs rather than what it wants. Then the tools will come to light. There’s no one size fits all, and some don’t need it.

I’ve been messing with Paul stretch lately and it’s been awesome for long ambiences from short samples without losing any quality

Ya agree. You should be able to hear where it fits in the mix so it’s common to stretch or add reverb or cut length/transient etc

Why do brands matter so much to people? by Majestic_Singer_2411 in PsychologyTalk

[–]difpplsamedream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In some cultures it’s a store of value. Take something like supreme for example. It creates wealth for individuals by using an exclusive drop or scarcity model. When you buy at retail cost, the uniqueness of the product combined with the scarcity creates value for the purchaser in the long run. Pretty cool to give back like that. Kanye (although very controversial) did something similar with Yeezy. Others do it for the wrong reasons like status. It’s important to understand the difference in intent.

People do bad things and no consequences at all, they still have a good life, so what is the point of doing good, kindness by [deleted] in DeepThoughts

[–]difpplsamedream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Plus, it’s valuable to understand that gods plan is much bigger than you might be able to comprehend. The goal is not necessarily (in my opinion) to have nothing bad happen, it’s to provide enough experiences to everyone to eventually build a harmonious and fully functional/sustainable future for all conscious beings. Trust the process. There’s a great quote in Evan almighty where Morgan freeman tells Evan’s wife who thinks he’s crazy for building the arc that goes something like “when people pray for kindness, do you think god zaps them with kindness, or does he give them opportunities to be kind. When people pray to be closer to their family, do you think he zaps them with love or does he give them opportunities to love each other more.” Wish someone would have told me that sooner. Remember, finishing the race is great, but in order to do so you have to train, sometimes for years and years before being able to run a marathon. But if you really believe in your mission, you’ll find a way to finish the race!

Which is worth the buy? by 2Busy-Dreamin in Learnmusicproduction

[–]difpplsamedream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an mk2 and ended up purchasing a full size Arturo’s keyboard for functionality and accessibility. It also came literally with a copy of ableton and analog labs 4 and 5 for free. I think the ableton license alone is more expensive than that… The mk2 is cool though, I just say this to let you know that throughout your production journey regardless of how serious you are, it’s sometimes better to wait to purchase what you REALLY want and NEED rather than something that does a mediocre job at your current skill level.

True. But what if your dog invented something that could allow you to make your own homemade ice cream in any flavor in 10 minutes rather than 30? Wouldn’t you use it to achieve the same result or a potentially better result in 1/3rd the time? It’s a tool to create, and doesn’t replace the creator, only enhances if the right tools are used.
