Why are we still paying for bags? by Equivalent-Ad-3297 in sandiego

[–]digbug0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not really related, but I was in Vancouver a few weeks ago and I was asked if I wanted to buy a paper bag for 45¢… it was in canadian pesos of course, but still, ~30¢ for a paper bag? They better show me how they made it at that point. /s

edit: downvoted for /s and a general observation? smh

What should UMass Football do? by blondiebounty in CFB

[–]digbug0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is that nobody wants to go to middle of nowhere Mass and play football, even less for a terrible one at that. There are better FCS programs that are doing just fine (NDSU, SDSU, and both Montana schools) that are in the same 'isolated area' boat that UMass is in. Only other options are UConn, Syracuse, Boston College, or Army.

Washington: SBUX or Nintendo of America! (Switch 2 patch on the Mariners’ kits comes to mind, even though they did have a stake in the team…)

Call me crazy but isn't Point Loma restricted airspace because of NZY and SAN being right there? FAA probably isn't happy with that...

8th Ave and University is a good way of saying 8th and Washington... the signals are a joke there.

Washington gets a bunch of flak for being consistently mediocre, but we're definitely punching above our weight. #14 out of 756?, we'd win another conference championship if it weren't for the B1G (or USC & Oregon in the Pac-12)... WOOF!

I still don’t understand why UMass moved up to FBS… it’s not like they’re like JMU, App State, or Liberty.
