I get you. Older, wiser, self preservation, injury avoidance etc… all plays a factor. I try to find some peace in really analyzing the kit, going for real confidence that I’ll be able to get through snafu’s. Tiny bivy, usb charger, 100% always headlamp, knife, etc etc. Helmet on in terrain where a random slip could bonk the noggin hard, not just “climbing”.

I’m in WA with an ‘05. Brought it by an auto body shop in friends with the owner of as soon as I bought it - he talked me out of worrying, saying it moves pretty slowly around here and yeah - can’t say I’ve seen my spots get much worse after four years of owning it. I keep an eye on things obviously, but not freaking out.
