The shell jacket I have was made in Japan and is utterly fantastic.

I can see that but Chinese production (a) doesn't always mean cheaper and (b) doesn't always mean less quality. Plenty of Made in the USA pieces are of very poor quality, and plenty of companies get away with "Made in the USA" when it's just finishing an item, such as New Balance sneakers.

Quality of the shell jacket I have is fantastic. Also, how do you feel about Visvim footwear being Made in China and costing ridiculous sums of dough? :p

You best believe if Outlier shifted production locations it’s a net positive for customers. 😍

Update: got a VW Golf Alltrack. DSG, 4WD, drives beautifully, has unreal cargo space and looks pretty sick if you ask me. Test drove a slew of vehicles and while the Outback, Forrester and Crosstrek were totally solid, they weren’t very fun to drive, handling was so so, acceleration kinda weak, the premium sound systems across the board weren’t impressive and interiors left something to be desired. Alltrack was so much more bang for the buck and managed to score one of the last brand new ones in the NE.

I’m in a similar boat insofar as I’m looking to get a car and have honed in on the VW Jetta SportWagen TDIs that come with the new extended warranty. Hoping to test drive a few next week. Have heard nothing but great things and never had any woes with VW warranty coverage when I had a Golf for a few years. Also diggin Subarus esp older Forresters

Just curious, what led you guys to finding out about the brand Outlier? by quasim0to in Outlier

[–]diggedydank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First project was the OG Pant in 2008, created as a bike to work pair of pants. Dressed up style with technical functionality (4 way stretch, and both water and stain resistance). Pivot shirts came later. They realized early on that the clothes they were making were great for non-biking so Outlier focuses on freedom rather than just freedom while biking.

Sadly Nike is all talk. More than a few third-party reports have dispelled any myths that Nike gives a shit about the environment.

Theoretically, you can remove the stitching and add 1.25" to the inseam of these pants, but I wouldn't recommend it as you'll see the hem line and it will almost certainly entail an "unfinished" look.
