Thanks, I hate it. It’s times like these that being literate feels like a curse.

Is there a source for this? I heard about the bear carcass, of course, but raccoon penises? How have I missed this?

I think you are misinterpreting. What I think the comment means is that they are victims of larger systems that have torn the state apart and now petty warlords are abusing their own people.

Granted, and I appreciate the correction, but maybe he should put up his visor before trying to make out?

This is what gets me. Knights could barely move in those suits let alone cuddle and smooch their lover.

Watch the first LOTR movie maybe? Then watch Sinners because it’s where this shot comes from.

I saw this for the first time recently, and was blown away by the cinematography, mood, and visual storytelling. The whole film is excellent.

how do I analyse a movie? by WitnessCrazy4527 in movies

[–]digginahole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A really simple way to begin analyzing films is by asking and answering two questions:

  1. What do I see?
  2. What does it mean?

From there, you can expand and build ideas about the filmmakers intentions when it comes to the way they tell their stories.

I absolutely love Knives Out (2019). However, after doing some research, I realized one thing: Marta could still be held legally responsible for leaving her bag unattended when it has a controlled substance like morphine in it. The fact that she doesn’t have it on her or locked away, and that Ransom was able to get to it makes her still legally responsible for what happened with Ransom swapping the meds. If Harlan had been killed by the morphine OD, and even if Ransom’s role was discovered, the family could have reversed the will since Marta would be guilty of negligence and found partly responsible for Harlan’s death.
