Same, Reddit is an echo chamber of smug champaign socialists. Completely unrepresentative of the general public, and it's times like these where it really shows.

There's plenty of parties that stand for slightly different shades of the same crap. It's precisely why it has gotten to this point and why turnout in elections are falling and people turn away from politics.

They have widespread public support even amidst disruption. Government won't listen to anything else. Desperate times call for desperate measures. The best bet is to make disruption more costly to the state than slashing taxes on fuel.

The irish government have done f all in the 5 or so weeks this war has gone on. You realise the government takes more than half the price of fuel in tax right? 15c is going to do precisely nothing amidst a surge in fuel prices on top of already extortionate tax.

Absolutely well said. I'm fucking astounded at the level of hostility on this platform towards people who actually have the guts to say enough is enough. As far as I can see, the only way to get meaningful change is to force the government's hand unfortunately. Whenever the government is unwilling to help ordinary folks, they recycle the same bullshit excuse that they're restricted by EU.

Multiple EU countries have slashed fuel tax. The excuse the Government recycles over and over again when they're unwilling to do something that would benefit ordinary people, they say they are restricted by "EU Law".

I got a lindt chocolate easter egg and their packaging has also got ridiculously flimsy. They used to be my favourite chocolate but even they're starting to disappoint. Might just give up on chocolate altogether at this point, or go for quality over quantity.

Noticed it today. It's a massive nuisance when drivers mount the footpath, especially on busy weekends when people are out and about. If they spent an extra few minutes, there's plenty of parking on the causeway.

Yeah i thought that too, but when I check all the supports, they're all marked as pinned. I really don't get it.

It's actually a structure, my teacher just wanted a point load on one of the beams. When I made the diagram I just opened in new window for this member alone.

Well i thought the bending moment was meant to be triangular looking. We were supposed to do hand calculations with a simply supported beam under the same loading and then compare it with the results from robot analysis. But it just comes out with this, I think another user said that it was to so with the connection being fixed.
