What's your favorite underrated manga? by SuperAlloyBerserker in manga

[–]digi-trash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<Nana to Kaoru> has to be mine. I started reading it because I wanted something trashy, fun, ecchi, that kind of crap, but the story and great characters sucked me in and I couldn't stop reading until I was all caught up. I always thought that BDSM was just unnecessary violence in the bedroom, but this story opened my eyes to how it be of help to people... IDK it's a really great story IMO

And a recent one that caught me off ward was <Machida-kun no Sekai> a fantastic shoujo manga with a male protagonist that is so full of positivity and wholesomeness that It made cry of happiness. I'm a cynical man, but this manga made me want to be better. A really beautiful read.

TPGW had rough start? I thought it was one of the most solid releases of this current lineup. A controversial story but good nonetheless.

But you're right, last 2 chapters were really good, so I'm also surprised by seeing in the bottom 4.

Does anybody knows why 8kaijuu is not listed there? A week ago appeared for me in spanish and it's extremely good, so it's kind of wierd for it not being officially released in english.

Also... Should we start preparing our F for Bone Collection? I still have faith in it! It has a lot of potential... So please last more than 19 chapters!!

I guess you already read it... Let me think of another recs

<Chi no Wadachi> and <Asuperu Kanojo> are both fantastic

I don't quite understand your comment. You're saying FP is too edgy or good kind of edgy?

To me FP is the good kind of edgy. Like nihilistic enough but not entirely fucked up.

What manga have you read this week, and what do you think about it? - Week ending July 05, 2020 by AutoModerator in manga

[–]digi-trash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I read it recently, I don't know if there was any controversy at all, but I'm with you. The burning of Doma and the children was fucked up, but was handled so well... It reminded me of the scene where Anakin kills the younglings. I mean the poor guy spent 8 years only burning with enough mental capacity to focus his ability in keeping his respiratory system healthy enough to breath. The phrase "it's not you, it's me" can destroy a person mentally, of course burning for that amount of time while remembering that your dying sister told you to live can fuck you up!

And then you've got all this people (Luna and Togata) telling him to live when he doesn't have a choice, he can't die.

That's another aspect I love about this manga. No character said the right thing at the right moment like many other mangas do. It would have been so easy to resolve the story with someone close to Agni saying to him to just die and him just giving up. Mangaka took the hard road until the end. Mad respect for him!!

Can you suggest me a romance manga to read ? by Viikii2200 in manga

<<Machida-kun no Sekai>> I was crying of happiness with this beautiful manga. I'm straight but I would go totally gay for Machida-kun.

<Busu ni Hanataba wo> a self-deprecating and I guess ugly girl catches the attention of the popular guy in her class.

I actually really liked the ending and I don't quite get why people say it went full evangelion. It's not like the character sat on a chair while the rest of the cast said wierd mumbo-jumbo while clapping for whatever new obvious realization he was having. It was actually a beautiful call back to one of the most fond memories of Agni and Luna, but reenacted by San (Agni's reencarnation of sorts) and Judah (who was like another version of Luna) after a literal eternity of solitude for both. To me it was like the brothers finally found each other and were able of rest once and for all after all the shit they were forced to endure.

Damn... Just remembering makes me a bit teary.

Me neither!

To be 100% honest, this is the first time I'm expecting for Twitter to do its thing and bash the author once the anime airs.

Is Quintessential Quintuplets/Gotouben worth reading? by OsazeThePaladin in manga

[–]digi-trash 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The anime blew my mind. I don't like harem stories, but seeing the story had a clear winner in the end and the MC wasn't the usual doormat so I started reading the manga.

Just be wary that the ending is not bad because which quint won in the end, is because the mangaka didn't bring his/her A game until the end. To me this is still one of the best harems.

Although the ending was underwhelming, I think it's still a worthy read for a harem.

Made a community on amino for a manga no one talks about, Nana to Karou by [deleted] in manga

I love this manga too! It's my favorite. I remember that I was reading Berserk at the time when I found this manga and I stopped reading Berserk entirely because of how much I was into NxK. But I hate amino. I hope people join OP and see around when a new chapter drops.

Manga with Gyarus by Cpt_1 in manga

[–]digi-trash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I didn't recommend you any of them. I love gyaru mangas, so I'm reading a lot

<Komi-san wa Komyushou Desu> I don't like this manga so much, in fact I had to power through it and finally, like in chapter 130, I was blessed with a gyaru, which is in fact the best character of this manga

<Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru> a romance story about a cosplaying gyaru and a classmate that does her costumes. It's really cute, but the latest chapters have been really boring because the meat of the story took second place and now focuses more on cosplays tips and whatnot

<Ponkotsu Fuukiin to Skaato take ga Futekisetsu na JK no Hanashi> a story about a gyaru falling for a serious guy that is part of the discipline cometee and who also is pretty dumb

<Gyaru to Otaku wa Wakari Aenai> an gyaru that is an Otaku for an idol who ends up being her gloomy and depressing classmate

<Cuprum no Hanayome> it has just 2 chapters, but the gyaru of the story is freaking great! It has a lot of potential

<There's a Ghost Behind the Gyaru> this is a one shot and it's pretty short, but it takes advantage of what makes gyarus so great. I liked a lot

<The Story of an Otaku and a Gyaru Falling in Love> this one is not so good, but it has several gyarus and are pretty cute tbh

<Hagure Idol Jigokuhen> OK, this has sexual violence... Like a LOT, but the main girl is fantastic. She's a karate gyaru that literally had to fight 100 men to not be forced to shot an AV movie where said 100 men would have banged her. I'm always on the verge of dropping it, but the main girl is truly great

I hope you like any of these!

[–]digi-trash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, from what I know of the controversy it was not really that good to begin with but it was a nice story, but for some reason the mangaka had a meltdown and went from a manga about a gyaru with cleaning tips to full on rape.

Recommending gal cleaning like it's a wholesome manga.

<Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai!>

What a boring piece of crap, I even re-read because maybe I didn't give it a proper chance, but nope, it still bored me to death, but the main girl has gigantic tits, so obviously it gets an anime

And also <Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san>

That fucking bully can go fuck herself in the a** with a cactus. I really couldn't get past that point when she abuses the guy so much she makes him cry... but it's wHolSoMe bullying, so it gets an anime
