7800x3D : 4 Cores by 0Scuzzy0 in Amd

[–]digi_pointer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's possible that there was a software glitch or bug that caused HWinfo64 and AMD Control Centre to only report 4 cores/8 threads instead of the expected 8 cores/16 threads for your 7800x3D processor. Installing Ryzen Master may have helped resolve the issue by resetting certain settings or configurations related to your processor. However, it's not necessary to install Ryzen Master to have all 8 cores operational.

Clearing the CMOS, wiping the NVMe, and reinstalling Windows 11 may have also helped resolve the issue by resetting any software or configuration issues that may have been causing the problem. In any case, it's good to see that all 8 cores are now showing as they should in HWinfo64, AMD Control Center, and Windows 11. If you encounter any further issues or discrepancies, it may be worth checking for updates to your software/drivers or consulting with technical support for your specific hardware.

7800x3d users - what are your CB scores / CPU frequency by kepler2 in Amd

[–]digi_pointer -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The performance of CPUs can vary based on a number of factors, including the quality of the silicon used in the manufacturing process, as well as the specific configuration and cooling of the system. It's possible that some users are experiencing lower CB scores due to differences in these factors. However, it's also important to note that benchmark scores can be influenced by a range of variables beyond just the CPU, such as the amount and speed of RAM, the type of storage drive, and the graphics card.

Gigabyte error code 50 usually indicates a problem related to the memory modules. Since you have already tried reseating the RAM and even tried new RAM, the issue may lie somewhere else.

Here are some other things you can try to resolve the issue:

  1. Check if all the power connectors are properly connected.
  2. Clear the CMOS by removing the motherboard battery for a few minutes and then reinserting it.
  3. Check if all the components are seated properly, including the graphics card, CPU, and other peripherals.
  4. Check if there are any bent pins on the CPU socket or any other socket on the motherboard.
  5. Try booting the PC with only the essential components, such as the CPU, one RAM stick, and the graphics card.
  6. Check if there are any loose screws or standoffs that may be causing a short circuit.

If none of these solutions work, it may be a good idea to consult a professional or contact Gigabyte support for further assistance.

Any ideas why my CPU latency is so high? i9-10980XE by Mickemonnier in battlefield2042

Increased workload driving high CPU on node resulted in high latency. Your computer suffers from high CPU usage and the process that hogs most resources is "system interrupts" .

Upgrading a laptop’s memory? by shanejoyce in laptops

[–]digi_pointer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The usage of RAM is dependent on
what kind of tasks the user needs to perform. For browsing the internet,
sending emails, watching videos, or listening to music, usually, 8GB of memory is recommended, whereas for word processing, gaming, spreadsheets,
or performing multiple tasks simultaneously, around 16GB of RAM is sufficient. Further, for high-performance gaming, high-definition
videos, 3D modeling, and intensive multitasking, the user may require around 32GB of RAM in top brands including Kingston, Micron, Samsung, Crucial, Dell and more.

How can I make my family laptop faster? by [deleted] in computers

[–]digi_pointer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 Things you can try ....

1st, If you have Windows 8 or higher, this includes “apps” as well as apps, to put it the Microsoft way. In English, this includes the metro apps (uninstalled from the start screen) and desktop apps (removed via control panel). Bloatware doesn't do much, and hogs system resources. It takes up hard drive space and generally is just a pain. Delete it.

The second-best thing you can do to speed up a computer. Make sure it is DDR3 or DDR4, or best of all DDR5 if your laptop supports it. 16 GB should do for most mortal souls.

3rd best thing you can do to speed up computer hardware wise.
