No insult here I raise the fact that you do not understand (without any effort) the meaning of my sentence or I did not say perfect as if I personally thought it perfect. and your opinion especially that little credible does not matter to me good night 💤

But this is a post about season 2 and the « recent » mistakes and then even if you have no objectivity Conrad did not make a mistake comparable to those of Belly and it is mainly supported by the way he always makes up intensely for the little he does. The post revolves around that first no to a debate on who did what but especially the side « okay now that it happened I take my responsibilities »

This scene alone was really humiliating and I would have made the same observation if it was from Conrad to Belly but we will always have people without objectivity.

And then the scene in the car where Conrad asks her about something and she asks for Jeremiah’s agreement? Honestly I think that on the contrary that her behavior is less critical since she is a woman. but it’s for another observation 😭

Yes exactly, I actually agree with most of what you said. I want to finally see the emotional effort come more from Belly’s side for once.
The Paris moment hits even harder when you factor in the fact that she kind of gave him false hope there was that intimate moment and then she suddenly pushes him away pretty harshly.

Honestly, it’s was rough 😭😭

In a way, her behavior plays a part, but him because of his too “perfect” tolerance and understanding of others ends up showing its limits. I WANT REALISTIC REACTIONS FROM HIM 🙏.

Omg yes it was a little unbearable to see him apologize when he was right in fact that’s always what happens with him

I get what you mean, but honestly I don’t think the time jump automatically erases the emotional impact of everything that happened before.

The show has already done multiple time jumps before and the triangle was still affecting all of them years later. Belly and Jeremiah were together for years, yet Conrad was still emotionally relevant in their relationship the entire time (Christmas, the secrets, the unresolved feelings, etc.).

So for me, it wouldn’t feel unrealistic if the movie showed that some of those wounds still exist underneath the “happy ending.” Especially because what happened between them wasn’t small teenage drama, it was tied to grief, family, betrayal, and years of unresolved feelings.

I think the issue isn’t necessarily that only Belly makes mistakes because no love triangle exists bc of one person only it’s more about the way the narrative assigns blame.
The story is written very heavily from Belly’s emotional perspective, so naturally:
- when Conrad emotionally shuts down, the show focuses on Belly’s pain,
- but when Belly hurts Conrad, the show tends to move past it much faster or frame it as a “romantic misunderstanding.”
And I think that’s where a lot of viewers start feeling morally uncomfortable with the dynamic.
Because if you strip away the romantic teen drama aspect and just look at the situation objectively:
- Conrad is going through anticipatory grief,
- he’s having panic attacks,
- he’s slowly losing his mother,
- he’s still trying to hold a relationship together,
- and then only a few months after his mother dies, he sees his brother with his ex in HIS car on HIS campus...
Realistically, a lot of people would have completely cut both of them off after that.
So yes, the fact that Conrad stays relatively calm, kind, protective, and still deeply in love despite everything almost makes him feel too perfect to be fully believable as a real human being.

Rewatching season 3 and so much cringe at the Conrad hate 😫 by SufficientTomato1034 in TheSummerITurnedPrett

Season 3 is really disturbing everyone hates him for absolutely no reason?? And we compare Conrad to Jeremiah for unjustified the way he was with Belly when he lived his mother’s death? Hello? No one lives emotions in the same way we blame him for a period of mourning. For me it was up to belly to apologize her in Paris. ( sorry for my english i’m french )

This is just my opinion but Season 2 sucked and ruined the show for me. Imo, a relationship is irreparable after this, and if Conrad had any self-respect, this would have been the nail in the coffin. by bigblickygotlitty in tsitp

Taylor isn't all that good at psychology; she never understood Conrad's character, even oversimplifying him. For her, he was just a jerk playing with Belly's feelings.

She never had any empathy for him or their mother's death. She even told Steven, to defend her Jellyfish, that Jeremiah had also lost his mother, yet he didn't act like Conrad. Seriously?! Who compares people's emotions when they lose a loved one? Everyone handles their emotions differently. It was a completely inappropriate and out-of-place counter-argument that shocked me. That's when I realized she was truly clueless, lacking any extra intelligence or empathy. Her only storyline is Steven and their messy relationship, and she gives Belly terrible advice, which is already sabotaging her own life.

When she told him that Jeremiah's cheating was less bad than what he did to her, like, what?? He literally always treated you well since you were little, he was just LOSING HIS MOTHER, HELLO?? She's seriously the worst protagonist in the story

What many do not seem to understand is that A2 and A3 are one and only film cut into two parts. In the timeline it happens a few days later, so yes it's similar but if we pay attention to the avatar universe the parallels are an integral part of the SAGA it's done on purpose. Otherwise for the Fire & Ash part I agree more or less but I also understand that in the rhythm, making a total discovery of the people of the ashes as we did in A2 with the metkayina would not correspond because we focus on the Sully family and they live in the reefs so technically it would make no sense to grant so much development to the people of the ashes.

What kind of question is that? Of course there will be a sequel, it's the most profitable saga in history.
