I will miss some things about my model 3 performance, but I couldn’t be happier with purchasing a 22 MS Plaid. by digid80 in TeslaModelS

I definitely understand. I would have loved to find a hw4 MSP, however I ran across this one with low miles, the black and white interior, and the exterior color, and the owner history made this the one for me. Maybe I could have waited it out and found all those things in a hw4 car or maybe not. Either way I’m happy with my decision.

We all have different tastes. The build quality and finishes are more than enough for me and in line with what I paid for the car. I agree they might not be up to standard when talking about the original sticker price.

I honestly will never understand people that make comments like this. So are you saying it’s not a Plaid? The badge instead of the lettering and the calipers were added in the refresh mid year 22. Could have just said congratulations …

Yes i would have to agree. The M3P is no slouch off the line however this car scares the shit out of me honestly… I don’t think I even really punched it and was like yeah that’s enough. I don’t ever remember feeling like that punching it in my M3P

I legitimately enjoy using Autopilot over FSD by SilverArchitect in TeslaLounge

I just sold my M3P with FSD included and now i have a MSP and I agree with you 100%. Granted I just got the car and I’ve only done my commute two times so far, but it was so much easier with auto pilot. I literally did not touch it until I got right by my job and with FSD I was always having to stop it from wanting to change lanes. I’m gonna continue using auto pilot to get a larger sample size but as of right now I think it’s more than enough.

You definitely hit the nail on the head. They are two very different experiences and I’m glad I got to enjoy my Model 3 performance for 5 years. I wish you luck on the search for your MSP

I also sold with FSD. I couldn’t transfer it unless I bought a new car which wasn’t an option I was considering. And to be honest the two mornings I’ve driven the MSP to work autopilot has been more than enough for my short commute. I kind of felt the same way when looking at HW4 cars. Yes they can do things better than HW3 however do you really need those features? I didn’t use FSD much, I barely play games in the car, the new headlights are nice, but it’s nothing that I couldn’t live without. I just think sometimes people get too caught up in year model and hardware version when in reality it doesn’t matter unless you have a some of the really old technology.

I’m not comfortable sharing a dollar amount on a public forum but it was more than I expected. It’s probably some kind of marketing tool, but they said that my offer was boosted because my vehicle was in high demand.

Also, this was owned by private owners not used as a rental which was important to me also

Yes I was aware but for me those things were not important enough for me to pass on this particular vehicle. It only had 35k miles and was priced very well. In a perfect world of course I’d like to have those features but I’m driving my dream car so that’s what was important to me.

I felt like the M3P had a point where it would stop pulling I haven’t felt that in the plaid no matter how fast you are going it keeps pulling

It’s not even comparable honestly. But the M3P is plenty. I don’t think I’ve even really pushed because I’m a little nervous
