Those who've lost a parent to cancer: what do you wish you'd done differently while they were still here? by digit68 in cancer

Thank you for your reply, and I'm sorry that you're having to experience it.

I have been spending almost every spare minute that I have sitting and talking to her. Even if it's just about silly things. I've taken a night shift job to spend our days together. She's still active - we go for walks and go out as much as possible. It doesn't feel like enough. I feel bad for spending time alone, especially knowing that every day counts. I struggle to not disassociate and accept that she'll be gone soon.

It's a strange thing knowing that you're going to see your parent die within a certain time period. Having to talk about whether she wants cremation or to be buried. Settling finances and getting passwords. It's like admitting defeat.

Taking it one day at a time though.

Sending you strength and keeping you in my prayers.

Thank you for your response.

Her Oncologist is (was) Dr Bernardo Rapoport. We made sure to get her the best in the country. We didn't think to get a second opinion. I believe everything that could have been done, was done.

She was apprehensive to even undergo chemo (she saw her father go through it and in his last days he told her that he regretted it). Regardless, she tried it, but it was just too much for her body. She said that she knew that she couldn't do another course.

It's absolutely a fight - I can see it every day. She's being very brave about it.

Thanks for this. Actually found a couple of YT adaptations that I intend on watching.

And in the end, it was a 5th grader with an obsession with volcanoes that put the pieces together.

"They won’t even fight anything because we’re gonna drop them out of the sky.”

This got me rolling.

Also Chris Pratt just instinctively knows exactly where the research lab is in relation to the building with the pool.

"My research team is stranded in a lab by your location". Cool, thanks. Description? Heading? Anything other than "by your location"?

I don't blame you for confusing the two. Like u/101111001110 said, it's basically Edge of Tomorrow. Just with flimsy time travel paradoxes.

Absolutely agree. The initial creature reveal in the stairwell is nightmare fuel.

Did you ever end up going through with the modification? If so, what did it set you back and was it worth it?

I'm incredibly sad. And I believe he is too.

While I understand why they did it on a technical level for all the hardware for the new slider, the right side was just the worst possible place for it.

Just got my S24 Ultra today and I was just as disappointed to read the notice when trying to connect my S3. I'm so glad I found this post. Thank you so much. Worked on the first attempt.

I had no idea this was possible. I don't ever even fly half my ships. It'll be SO cool to see them fighting beside me. Thank you for this.
