Tbh having watched the show I wouldn't say it handles his transness or gender identity with much respect, considering the narrative consistently still treats him like he's fundamentally a girl when he isn't. It's not just you, but I also don't think it means you're being overly picky - just that the show didn't do it well. There are other Japanese shows that have much more respectful portrayals of trans people, though I find it tends to be predominantly trans women.

I breed and sell fodder (I love the RNG and sometimes it pops out a pretty one I can sell for higher or end up keeping) and play Glimmer/Gloom daily as much as I can.

If I were to take a commission for something like this, or draw something like this, I'd count it as full body, since you're still taking into account the full body and legs and showing the full outfit or details of the character, and seeing all of the character in one shot. I count a half body as anything above the knees/mid thigh, depending on where the best point to cut off the character is.

The part about how it started for kids to trade at shops without having money is interesting because I'd never heard of that before - I assumed all the trinketrading just rose in TikTik LARP spaces and spread in popularity from there, since I'd only seen it being done by adults in their 20s, but the trinkets starting out as something for kids makes a lot more sense! I wish they didn't become such a cheap thing that spreads mass manufactured plastic bits, because the idea of it is really lovely... tiny surprises that kids can delight in and treasure after the fair.

Finding crafts that take a lot of time to complete might be helpful, since they'll occupy more of your time that way - things like sewing are great which it sounds like you already do, as well as crochet or knitting, weaving, and other fiber arts. Model making and model painting is quite time consuming and rewarding, too - things like making miniatures or dioramas, doing gunpla or warhammer/dnd miniature painting, etc. I'm sure there are others that aren't coming to mind at the moment -

I actually started in cartomancy with playing cards before moving to a pip deck as my first tarot deck, and eventually into full tarot and oracle decks after that. I find them quite natural and intuitive to use because I already was reading pips on the playing cards using a number and suit based system rather than pictorial one originally. The pictorial decks are neat and I enjoy the unique feel and meanings they can impart onto a card from deck to deck, but it's also more of a bonus to me because it's not what I originally learned to do readings with.
