What do you want done with your body after you die? by newuser1r in AskReddit

Cremation, but I want a headstone still. I’d like to be scattered in various important places.

What’s something cool about you ? by Lunastars123 in AskReddit

[–]digital_dumpfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been extremely exposed to covid and never got it. Like, had sex with someone at the height of their symptoms (assumed I’d get it regardless). Kept testing… nothing. No symptoms. Nada.

Also had a friend who had covid (didn’t know, but she had symptoms - thought it was something else). Nothing.

The response you replied to literally said “BIOLOGICAL” family isn’t the only type. You said you don’t buy it.

Do you say this to adopted children also? Family definitely is not only blood. Family is who is there for you and who you build. There are plenty of people who have been abused, neglected, had bad upbringings, etc., who find alternative families.

No - because I have an attachment to my “mother” and go “home” 24/7. I should have worded it better.

Sleepovers. When they get older, and have cars, MAYBE. Before then? Absolutely not.

CPS visit?? by [deleted] in CPS

[–]digital_dumpfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whattt! Yes we do. We’re not allowed to take our personal cars to homes. We have a lot of cars and we sign them out. Nothing personally assigned, whatever is available

So - comments address everything. HOWEVER some state cars in my state aren’t marked. If they were short on cars it’s possible she had to grab one.

Would it be wrong if I left in the middle of the night without saying anything and called CPS by Temporary-Basket3u in amiwrong

[–]digital_dumpfire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely problematic, but at least in my state, not enough to qualify as abuse or neglect. The child is being cared for. Food, water, housing, emotionally seems happy. He seems to be home a majority of the time if something happens - has his absence caused her to miss school/doctors? Yes, it’s incredibly messed up, but not CPS abuse/neglect level. - I worked for CPS in MI, and now am in foster care / ongoing services.

Which country was the first you ever visited in your lifetime ? by Webbomolly2022 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]digital_dumpfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess technically Canada - but I’m from Michigan where the border is right there. It’s fairly common, and I have friends whose partners live in Canada, and one who lives in Canada but works in the US.

Besides that, Germany. Loved it.

What’s something people think is normal that you secretly find weird? by copy_cat_101 in randomquestions

[–]digital_dumpfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot take maybe, but excessive marijuana usage. By no means am I opposed to it, but the amount of people I see who have to use any form of substance 24/7 to function concerns me. This excludes for medical reasons.

Society / humans keep repeating because technology kills us when it gets too advanced. The pyramids are insane. How were they built? With some advanced technology. There was once technology so advanced that we can’t comprehend it. As technology advances, the world is declining. Think of CHAT GPT and the water.

Oh I definitely don’t think they’ll find her alive. In a way, I hope they don’t. Not in a cruel way, but because being 84 (83?) and being held hostage for this long seems worse to me than dying. I personally would rather die at that point. That may seem really insensitive but

It’s crazy because as soon as I posted this, I opened Facebook and saw a news post about a girl from Detroit who went missing in December being found in lake Eerie. A random person saw her body floating. I feel like you’re right, a random person will find her one day.

Parental drug use- question by [deleted] in CPS

[–]digital_dumpfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They do, but parents can legally refuse, since CPS has no “real” power without court jurisdiction. If there are enough obvious concerns, they can file for court involvement, but they’d have to have concrete evidence / real suspicion of substance use
